Since majority of us are turning 60 years old next year 2018, the current officers, under the leadership of Batch '71 President Reynaldo Mabaylan, are planning to come up with a celebration of a lifetime to commemorate this milestone in our personal life...

In this connection, we would like to solicit the majority's preference on a date during the last quarter of 2018. The last quarter ~ October to December ~ is a year away and should give us ample time to prepare...

BATCH'71 UPDATES:

* It was discussed at last Thursday's meeting to have a charitable project for this year and hopefully, annually henceforth, under the leadership of our current Batch President Rey Mabaylan. And, it was agreed that electric wall fans will be donated by Batch 1971 for installation in identified classrooms in City Central School. This is to help alleviate the daytime heat suffered by the pupils inside their classrooms...

So far, we have 12 units pledged, and will welcome more donations until 17th August 2017...

* A B'71 monthly dinner meeting will be hosted by Bobby Parrel @ his residence in Aluba @ 6pm on Tuesday, 15th August 2017 - and it's POTLUCK!!!

Agenda will include this year's Annual Batch "PANAGTAPOK"...

Let me take this opportunity to thank everyone who helped, who supported, and funded the recently-concluded successful and fun-filled trip down memory lane City Central School General Alumni Centennial Homecoming Celebration!..

To all who took the time and made the effort to come, attend, and joined us in celebrating our Alma Mater's 100th birthday, thank you also for gracing the occassion with your presence...

To my hard-working and dedicated working committee members (u know who u r) - without whose loyalty and support to my leadership, wouldn't have made the affair as succesful as it was considering, I only had barely 3mos. in my hands... But God knows how we gave it our best shot...

We're just a week and a half away from our event now and we need more of your cooperation!..

Again pease!.. CONFIRM YOUR ATTENDANCE in the MOTORCADE @ 7am in the morning of Saturday, the 20th of August. We want to know how many cars and the number of alumni are joining...

Again, ASSEMBLY PLACE : Inside CCS Grounds for the singing of the National Anthem and the Alma Mater Valediction, followed by Prayer for Protection... before proceeding around the city...

CONFIRM YOUR BATCH ATTENDANCE @ the Joint Batches' Lunch following the motorcade (some might opt to go home, report to their business site, etc). We need to determine the actual number of tables&chairs to be rented. We're also trying to get some tents provided as lunch will be in the open parking space inside the campus. And again, it is BYOP BY BATCH...

There's a small stage we can use, with sound system provided by the school. Those who want to present special numbers: sing, dance, declame... or who might lead in fun activities or challenge us in a game, are all welcome to do so for this is a "whatever goes" kind of activity where natural talents will be showcased and where the rest can just relax, bond, catch up, and have a good laugh!... 😉😊😄

There will be souvenir booths and if we get lucky, might even have a free medical check-up/consultation desk!.. 👍❤👍

Also be reminded of our GALA NIGHT @ the Grand Caprice in Ket Kai. We expect some 500 or more guests and so we encourage every one/batch to purchase your buffet dinner tickets ((P350) EARLY to avoid the possibly long queue on site. Registration starts @ 3pm to accommodate those "on the day" registrants... For dinner tickets, please text/call: (0935) 681 5716...

Hopefully, there will be two (2) PHOTO CORNERS: one for a "compulsory" formal selfie souvenir photo, another one for an optional family or batch groupie photo @ P50/picture... Video coverage in CDs might be made available after the event by per order basis...

Proper Programme starts at exactly 6pm ~ WITH OR WITHOUT YOU! This is so we can finish ON TIME to avoid paying for extended hour. Also, so that the younger batches, and those living far, will not have to go home so late yet, without having to necessarily miss any of the program, either. So please COOPERATE AND BE PROMPT!!!
