Money madness 💰💵⌛️ Before we completed the first unit for Term Four, I had my students cutting and pasting and purchasing goods!!
————————————
Since Year 1s aren’t required to count coin collections, I was so amazed and proud of their efforts and willingness to learn!! 🤩 Something tells me that this financial unit was a bit easier because everyone is used to having pocket money 😉😂

One of my group rotation activities for our money unit allowed my Year 1s and 2s to fly anywhere around the world (at a great student price😂). ✈️🌍

🛫I made boarding passes for different countries and once the children paid for their ticket, moved their little aeroplane to that country.

🛬This activity was great as it tied in with their All Around the World theme for writing and inquiry this term!

🗺Asking my MT this morning where this felt map came from!! Being unlabelled, it is great because students can add name labels or figurines of animals and significant buildings or landmarks 🕌🗽🗿

🗑 Little bucket pots were from the local two dollar store

explained beautifully here for anyone (hello policy makers) that still doesn't get why same is not equal!

Please go ahead and share with anyone who is tired of explaining the need for differentiation to parents, administrators, or policy makers.
