If your baby’s sleep associations only work for your baby and you aren't getting the rest you need, it might be time to try a new approach.

Sleep struggles can stem from many factors, such as temperament, medical or digestive issues, or having a highly sensitive nervous system, as well as sleep associations. Every baby is different—some learn to settle on their own more quickly, while others need more time and support.

Remember, it’s not helpful to compare your baby’s sleep patterns to others. Focus on what you know about your baby and what feels right for your family. If you are unsure about what next steps might look like, let's chat and find a solution that works for all of you!

Sleep is innate - we don’t have to teach our babies how to sleep.

However, settling to sleep is a process we all learn how to do. Giving your baby time to find their unique way of settling to sleep is a skill your baby can learn without having to cry it out.

Let's jump on an introductory call to discuss your sleep journey with your little one and how I can help you both get the rest you need.

It’s not easy to ask for help when you are struggling and sleep deprived. I’ve been there! As someone who likes to figure things out on my own I understand the reluctance to reach out for support. But I can tell you it makes all the difference to have a compassionate sleep consultant in your corner to help you find solutions to your sleep challenges. Let's get started on your little one's journey to better sleep!

If you are struggling, let someone know. Easier said than done, for sure. As someone who has a hard time asking for help, I get it. Just know you are not alone and it’s ok to ask for help.

Let’s remember to be kind to each other and to ourselves.

I love reading to my grandkids at bedtime! Reading as part of a sleep time routine can help kids settle, especially books that are geared for getting ready to sleep. I love the book Time For Bed by Mem Fox. The illustrations are lovely and the message is soothing. What are your favorite bedtime books for little ones?

Daylight Saving Time is here again! We spring forward an hour starting at 2am March 13th. Lucky us! (Well, not Arizona and Hawaii. Lucky them!) If your little one wakes at a ridiculously early hour (5am), they will wake at 6am (still ridiculously early, but better!) You lose an hour, but it might feel psychologically better to wake a bit later. For this time change I don’t suggest doing anything ahead of time. It works itself out within about a week. You might want to go to bed earlier if you can, but leave your kiddos sleep schedule the way it is and fiddle after the time change if needed. And reach out for support if needed. I’m a phone call away.
