Vir Chakra Shaheed Shyam Singh Bhikhta GUSSS Nerwa celebrated 78th Independence Day today with traditional fervour and gaiety. The school premises were decorated to give it a festive look. Pictures of our great leaders and freedom fighters were placed on the notice board. The Principal of the School Sh.Kewal Ram Chauhan along with Smt. Babita Tangraik Chairperson Nagar Panchayat Nerwa hoisted the national flag at 11 a.m. in the presence of the teachers and the students. As the tricolor was unfurled , all present sang in tune the national song of India.
After the flag hoisting, the students of the four different houses alongwith NCC , NSS and Scout n Guides started their march past and saluted the National Flag
This was followed by the Chief Guest's speech. In her speech, she invoked the names of the heroes who laid downtheir lives at the altar of India’s freedom especially our own Kargil Hero Vir Chakra Vijeta Shaheed Shyam Singh Bhikhta. She spoke at length about the hopes and dreams of those great souls and regretted that the common people are yet to realizethe fruits of freedom. Sh. kewal Ram Chauhan Principal also addressed the gathering. He also stressed the need to cultivate the values upheld by the selfless freedom fighters. He also inspired the students to contribute in their individual capacities to the progress of India.
The Independence Day celebration was unique this year in the sense that apart from the Principal and the chief guest , quite a few students also made their speeches on the
occasion. The students on the whole expressed their keenness to pursue the path that would lead their motherland to prosperity.
All the students were in Patriotic theme based dress. Patriotic Poems and Songs were recited both by the teachers and the students. Solo as well as group dance were also presented by our Students .

On 14th August 2024 Deputy Director Elementary Education along with his team visited GUSSS Nerwa..

The recently concluded U-14 Girls Zonal Tournament organised by S.D.Public School Nerwa proved to be a platform for showcasing talent and fostering healthy competition among schools . Our school GUSSS NERWA enthusiastically participated , leaving an indelible mark throughout the event.
Once again we have proved our mettle and won the Folk Dance n Declamation contest n lost Volleyball finals.

World Environment Day

GUSSS Nerwa celebrated world Environment Day with great enthusiasm and fervor. The day was marked by various activities and events that aimed to raise awareness about environmental issues and promote sustainable practices. The program began with a prayer for the environment followed by the prayer song. Then the students Urvashi Tegta and Mahalaxmi Dogra shared information on the Environment day . Then the students of Class IX & X performed a skit showing the causes of Air pollution and ways to control it. The choir group sang a song “The Earth is our Home”. Then all the students took oath to preserve the nature and to plant trees. Each and everyone is responsible to protect and care for the environment. Then the Worthy Principal of our school Sh. Kewal Ram Chauhan ji inspired the students with his motivational speech . He urged the students to plant trees and to take care of it and emphasised that it is not only for one day but all need to take care of the trees throughout their life. This was then followed by the tree plantation by NSS & NCC UNITS. The students along with the Principal and Mrs. Mamta Tegta Lect. In Biology & Sh. Rajinder Parsaik Lect. Our student Sanjay Chauhan (Arts Stream) missed the HPBOSE Merit ( first 10 positions mark) by just 4 marks. But achieved 8th place in Arts Stream...
The students of GUSSS NERWA once again proved their mettle and scripted a historic moment as they excelled in the HPBOSE Class 12 Board Results by bringing echoed laurels and accolades to the school.

Parents, this success is dedicated to you. It is your undying belief in us as well as in your children that inspires us to shape their young minds and transform them into dreamers, achievers and performers.

Shaheed Shyam Singh Bhikhta (VC) Government Utkrisht Senior Secondary School Nerwa celebrated Earth Day 2024 on 22nd April 2024.
The theme for World Earth Day 2024 is Planet vs Plastics. The theme aims to bring attention to the serious issue of plastic pollution and how it harms nature.
School organized an activity which was conducted by Eco Club of the school in which the students were made to learn about the ill effects of plastic use..

In the activity, students of class and 6 were shown a presentation with regard to the effects of use of plastics. Class 7 and 8 students were given an opportunity to make slogans and posters. Class 9th and 10th class students were made aware and given knowledge about the use of plastic. of the earth.

11th and 12th class Students planted flowers and plants that provide oxygen round the clock and medicinal plants like Tulsi, Aloe Vera, Cactus. Children were motivated to protect the environment and keep the earth clean.

The teachers gave information about environmental conservation to the students. They motivated the students to keep the earth green and clean and to conserve natural wealth.
Sh. Kewal Ram Chauhan Principal gave away the Prizes to the winners of the different competitions organised by Eco Club Team headed by Sanjeev Dafraik Lect. Physics and assisted by Mrs. Tanuja Chauhan ,Mrs.Savita Chauhan ,Miss Natasha Thakur .

The activity enabled the students to learn more about use, advantages, disadvantages, etc of plastic. They also got to understand to say no to plastic as it is very harmful and causes cancer and other dangerous diseases.
It was an educative and informative initiative taken by the school to generate the awareness among its students.

Annual Result Declaration
Annual Result of the non board classes for the academic year 2023-24 has been declared today. The class toppers and subject toppers were presented with prizes and Certificate of Merit to appreciate and recognize their hard work and diligence throughout the academic session. We would like to congratulate all the class toppers for their sacrifices, motivations and inspirations to the rest of the students.
We would like to acknowledge and express our gratitude to SMC for supporting us and fulfilling their roles they were entrusted with.

Shaheed Shyam Singh Bhikhta (vc) GMSSS Nerwa Model Sr.Sec.School Nerwa, under the direction of the versatile and dynamic Principal Sh.Kewal Ram Chauhan and under the guidance and inspiration of NSS Programme Officers Smt Mamta Tegta and Sh Rajender Parsaik, celebrated the Communal Harmony week W. e. f.19th November to 25th November .
An amount of 13062 was collected and sent to the Secretary NFCH Govt of India
This fund was supposed to be used for the education and rehabilitation of the orphans and poor children.The versatile Principal Sh Kewal Ram Chauhan expressed his indebtedness and gratitude to the localites and all those people who have helped them in their endeavors for this noble cause
He thanked the SMC,staff,students and local people of the area for contributing an amount worth rupees 21000 in The CM Relief Fund. Sh.Kewal Ram Chauhan, who spearheaded this misson and the Programme Officers who took special interest in it, deserve all accolades for accomplishing such a great work....jai Hind 🙏 jai NSS🙏

मैं आप सभी को छोड़कर जाने के दुख को शब्दों में व्यक्त नहीं कर सकता। आप सभी ने मुझे बहुत खास बना दिया है और अपने हृदय में विशेष स्थान दिया है, जिसे मैं वास्तव में कभी नहीं भूल सकता।
मेरे प्यारे साथियों, यह वो स्थान है जहाँ, मुझे सबसे ज्यादा अनुभव मिला और मुझे जीवन में आगे बढ़ने के लिए दूसरे विद्यालयों में जाने के योग्य बनाया है...अपने जीवन के बहुमूल्य 14 वर्ष 6 महिने के पूरे कार्यकाल में, मुझे हमेशा कुछ ना कुछ नया सीखने का मौका दिया है, जिसकी मुझे आवश्यकता और जरुरत थी जिसने मुझे बेहतर भविष्य के लिए तैयार किया है।
