Ashley Hagen (E-RYT), started practicing yoga in 2010 to help improve her performance as a college athlete. In 2013, after experiencing the benefits of a daily yoga practice, she received her 200-hr yoga teacher certification and began teaching vinyasa yoga, the most accessible style of power yoga. She is inspired by all movement styles including martial arts, calisthenics, running, weight lifting

Story of Ashes Yoga

I'm Ashley Hagen (Jonas), a yoga teacher who recently relocated to Washington State from Fargo, ND. For many years, I taught 15+ weekly group yoga classes, but have recently transitioned into the online sphere. I’m also a yoga teacher trainer, meaning I train others to become teachers. My next 200hr yoga teacher training starts Fall 2019 in Silverdale, WA. See more on that at

Short story: I started my fitness journey back in high school where I struggled with my body image and all that crazy stuff. Fast forward many years and I found yoga and support through online communities to help me through these struggles. I graduated college with a degree in graphic communications and became a full-time graphic designer and part-time fitness instructor. Then in 2013 that flip-flopped. I went full-time into yoga teaching and part-time graphic designing.

When I’m not on my mat or at my computer, I’m usually playing with my kids, hiking mountains, out on a wild adventure, or out at local coffee shops and breweries. Head to for more information and to find great resources for new yoga teachers.
