In 1963, Detroit was in a global competition to host the 1968 Olympics but a strong grassroots movement fighting for civil rights equality provided opposition to the effort. The new documentary Detroit’s Olympic Uprising tells the story of this little-known bit of Detroit’s history.
The editor of the documentary, Aaron Schillinger, will attend the screening and participate in a Q&A session afterwards.

Join the DHM on August 15th through 17th for our annual Vintage Clothing and Antique Sale at the McFadden Ross House. Multitudes of clothing, glassware, and assorted antiques will be available for sale. Clothing aficionados should especially be interested in the vintage hats and shoes that will be available this year. Additional antique vendors will be on site.
Proceeds benefit the Dearborn Historical Museum and Museum Guild of Dearborn.

Lesson 3 in our Exploring AI series is now available for pickup at any Dearborn Public Library branch. This is the final part of our take-home lessons and guided projects geared toward exploring various neural networks and current AI applications.
