Members of our team were inspired participants at the recent The Partnership for After School Education (PASE) 20th annual Activating the Power of Afterschool Conference, which celebrates the impact of afterschool programs on youth and their families, and promotes innovation in education. HEAF's innovative college access programs open doors to college and meaningful careers through academic enrichment, personal development, college exposure and prep, and career exploration and support.

’s middle school students visited 449LA S**T where they explored the Harlem Renaissance through live jazz, spoken word and art. Students are currently learning about the Harlem Renaissance in ELA class, which is part of our mission to expose students to different cultural experiences that will benefit them in future careers.

Youth Leadership Program students are all heart! During their time in YLP these high school students will complete leadership development training, work collaboratively to design and implement a community service project, and serve as peer mentors for our middle school students. We are excited to watch our YLP students grow in their leadership roles.
