Some of the best bits of Week 3 in La Clusaz! This weeks highlights included a flipped classroom exercise, high fidelity simulation on climbing and paragliding accidents and a workshop on ‘communicating under pressure’ with Professor Rollnick!

This year we had 4 groups of medical students join us in the French Alps for a jam packed week of PHEM, expedition medicine, communication, teamwork and Crew Resource Management!

Thank you for such an epic week!🙌🏼

Happy International Paramedics Day !!!! A day to celebrate the incredible work of paramedics and first responders and recognise the crucial role they play in PHEM teams.

A special shoutout to one of the incredible faculty members we have in La Clusaz this week, Callum Sutton! Callum currently works as a Specialist Critical Care Paramedic with GWACC. He brings invaluable PHEM experience from his time with the London Ambulance Service.

Callum, Faraway Legend Wayne and all of the fantastic paramedics at Faraway Medicine and beyond: Thank you!!!

Our Train the Trainer F**T Course (Faraway Medicine's introduction to teaching and training) for 30 junior doctors from the South West is underway.

Here the team to reflect and write down poor educational experiences and damaging simulation debriefs to then metaphorically (and literally) throw them into the air and share with others.
