This is a reminder that applications for our summer Destination Health Careers Program are due by Friday, May 16th, at 5:00 p.m. Rising 9th-12th-grade students for the 2025-2026 school year can apply for this summer program.

You do not want to miss this event!
This exciting opportunity will expose students to a variety of associate degree healthcare careers available to them at Pitt Community College, including Respiratory Therapy, Polysomnography (sleep lab), Medical Assisting, Medical Sonography, Radiographic Technology, Emergency Medical Services, Dental Assisting, Nursing, and Occupational Therapy Assisting. Participants will engage in three days of hands-on education. The first two days will be in high-tech laboratory settings with the staff at Pitt Community College. On the third day, students will explore departments at ECU Health.

This program will take place on Tuesday, August 5th, Wednesday, August 6th, and Thursday, August 7th from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be no cost to students, and lunch will be provided daily.

This is a great opportunity for students to explore different clinical positions, interact with the HSA staff and partners, and have fun!

Interested students must complete the attached application and ALL ECU Health documents. A committee will review applications and notify selected students on or before Friday, June 28th, 2025.

IMPORTANT SAFETY ALERT

We have been informed of a TikTok "Chromebook Challenge" encouraging students to insert foreign objects into Chromebook ports. This is extremely dangerous and could result in fire or battery explosions.

Intentional damage will result in a $200 replacement fee and school disciplinary action.

Please talk to your student about the risks and seriousness of this behavior. Thank you for helping keep our students and school safe.
