Yesterday, I had the pleasure of joining several business minded individuals at the luncheon to hear more about the new Childcare Tax benefits. has been working hard to get this bill passed in an effort to make a dent in the childcare crisis. The knowledgeable Brittany Lamont with played an integral part in constructing this bill as well and is helping businesses connect with childcare providers to increase capacity and help employers recruit and keep great employees.

Today we were closed for families but our staff was hard at work learning from the BEST trainer, Ron, from Lakeshore Learning! We focused on being facilitators and extenders of play, having purposeful and meaningful conversations with children, being intentional with our interactions and SO much more. High quality professional development is another way we set ourselves a part from other early childhood programs.

Hopefully this brings some relief to those affected by serious flooding.

Water days are one of the best parts about summer. Besides cooling off😎, our little foxes🦊 get to build fine and gross motor skills, development friendships, be creative🎨 , use their imagination and most of all enjoy a magical childhood. Not to mention 🫧BUBBLES🫧

Important Update:
1. If you missed DPL, I talked about what I call the "whack-a-mole" effect. Remember the carnival game? Those little guys pop up all over the place without much notice. Well, when a disorganized storm is over land, it sometimes tries to form a new center over water...away from the existing one. With Invest 97, this is a possibility. What does that mean? If a new center forms NORTH of Cuba, it would develop faster and move a bit more to the East.

2/ I'm not saying it will happen, but I've seen this before. It still won't have much time to develop, but the track could be closer to the Bay area and the impacts would be felt sooner. (Saturday night or Sunday morning)

3. THIS is why you really need to have an actual low center to track...otherwise, it's still guesswork. So, hopefully, by the morning we will have that and can get a more definitive answer for timing. (And if your flights will be canceled🤣. )

4. Just throwing that out there so we won't get caught by surprise if a new center forms overnight. Either way, we'll update you 24/7 as always. The season is just beginning. It's a marathon, not a sprint.

5. Rule #7 Nothing to freak out about...just be prepared and have a plan as always. 🐢
