How is it going my runners?

I am going through my training program and design for my second appearance to the World Multi-Sports Championship in Townsville, Australia this year and as I develop my training plan I use the very detail diagram I would like to share with you.

It shows to complete a high level it requires more than just endurance training.

It requires 3 disciplines:

1. Aerobic power and capacity
2. Anaerobic power and capacity
3. Neuromuscular capacity

As you follow the diagram it shows how each part influence each other and how all parts contributes to the overall goal for a fast finish and to compete at a high level against other high level athletes in the world.

Working on a little project about running form comparison of the untrained runner vs trained runner. (My kids happily volunteered to help me make this video)

The best examples of untrained runners were my kids. They never had any formal instruction on how to run. They ran what felt natural to them.

The phrase "Anybody can run" is true. However, as seen in this video, we can always improve our running efficiency.

Also, don't mind my son's running; he was running sideways, which was weird when I slowed down the video.

Just take note of how my kids running form is compared to mine.

I know I am older, more coordinated, etc, but there are runners out there I am sure you have seen running like my kids.

It is not bad, it is just not as efficient as possible. I give kudos to anyone who runs, no matter what running form they have.

Let's give a congrats to Nancy, who finished her 25K trail run after dealing with some runners' issues that I have been helping her overcome!

At first, she felt she would only do a 5K, but she felt good and ended up running the 25K instead!

With her, I won't quit personality and following my recommendations and strategy for the race, she was able to cross that finish line!

Great Job, Nancy, on your run!

Let's give a big congratulations to one of my runners' first 100K finishes!

As I mentioned before, it takes a team to get runners with big goals, such as finishing their first 100K, to be put together and to have them be successful.

Paul trusted me to be a part of his team in preparing for his first 100K by providing my expertise in evaluating his training diet, planning his carb-loading program, and giving him a detailed fueling strategy to run his first 100K.

Along with his determination, 100K support team, and hours of training, he did what he set out to do: cross that finish line!

I found out today, that another runner successful ran their half marathon and PR after getting their running form analysis and completing their training with my running form rewired system.

Congrats Rosa on a job well done, your dedication, determination, and trust in my system is what made you succeed in your race!

One of the elements in getting a runner to achieve their goal, such as running their 1st 50K is the support they get not just from their running coach, but family and friends. Many think running is an individual sport, but as you can see it is not. Those around us can play a huge part in our journey to achieving amazing success in our lives.

Wow, lots have happened over the past 2 weeks.

Last weekend I was the team captain for an 8 runner Ragnar relay team of 4 female and 4 males in which we placed 4th in our mix group category and covered 120 miles in 24 hours.

Today, I had one of my runners complete their first 50K and destroyed it after completing their 14-week Ultimate Ultra Marathon Coaching program with me.

In both cases, they trust me to lead them and get the job done.

Super proud Running Coach I am today to be able to make such big impact with people's lives and their enjoyment of running.

Let's give a high-five to all my runners!

Right now my runners are doing interval training, and I feel many runners do not do these correctly because no one has taught them how to do it.

For that reason, I created a video for my runners on their APP that explains the difference between good-quality interval training and poor-quality training.

Because it is so important to understand this, I wanted to share it with you all as well.

In short:

1. It helps runners break records.
2. It can help older runners reduce the force on their legs allowing them to run longer.
3. There has been an increase in runners' injuries, related to lack of running strength and unconditioned runners jumping straight into the super shoes.

Breaking down the fundamentals of any sport is key to your success.

It may seem basic and sometimes boring because you are not hitting your training hard and pouring sweat.

However, if you want to succeed and be the best, you have to train like you are the best at your sport.

Whether running, cycling, swimming, or weight lifting understanding the mechanics of your sport and developing the skill is the #1 part of any training program.

How is it going my runners?

I have to say, it has been very busy for me the past month and a half.

Sorry for not posting more during this time.

I have been building a hybrid running program for a running club for their half and full-marathon Advance Training Group.

A hybrid program is a combination of online and in-person coaching.

In addition to this, I have been working with clients that involve only online coaching as well as hybrid coaching.

And because I am looking for ways to make my service better and easier for those I help, I finally created the Running Medic APP.

This will allow my clients and you, if you decide to allow me the privilege to coach you, to achieve your goals with easy access to documents, video instructions, testing, reports, running video demonstrations, coaching, and more.

I am looking forward to being part of your journey to become an indestructible, high-performance running athlete.

Are you running hills?

Are you having Achilles, Knee, Lower back, or Neck pain?

If so, it may be how you run up the hills.

When you look down, you can see your running form is all off.

I mean, look at me when I do it (image).

Not sure if this is the problem.

Have your running friend record or take a picture of you running up the hill without you knowing it, especially when you are tired.

Check out your video or photo and if you are looking down, compare your findings to this image of me and see if this is a case of poor running form up the hill.
