Each year our international students excel both academically and in many extracurricular activities. We are very proud of our students who come from far away to our schools and communities and make an impact.

Each year at LKDSB we welcome over 100 international students from countries around the world into our classrooms and our community. Have you met any of our international students yet?

Outside of school, our international students also have opportunities to experience sports and events in the surrounding communities.

International students are representing their schools on school teams. They are truly part of the school community. Here we have a student from France who has paired up with a student from Italy to play doubles tennis. Guess what? They won and they are off to SWOSSAA.

Where does the time go? Can you believe it is October already? Many of our students are joining school teams such as cross country, tennis, and basketball. The journey continues....hello October!

International students throughout LKDSB came together last week for evening orientations and information sessions. Returning students gave advice to new students about how to get involved in their schools, homestay, and community.

Our annual welcome events were held this past weekend. Students in Sarnia/Lambton and Chatham-Kent were welcomed to the community by the municipal staff, and stakeholders as well as the Mayor and Counsellors. LKDSB and Canada Homestay staff were on hand to meet each of the students and speak to homestay families.

Our international students are bringing the world to our classrooms. We have students from 19 countries studying with us this semester.

We want to welcome all of our international students who recently arrived at LKDSB. We know you had a long journey to get here. We are excited you are here. We hope you have an amazing year with us full of many great adventures!
