The ideal model: what we may and want to be 25/03/2024

The ideal model: what we may and want to be Psychosynthesis Experiences - 5 The ideal model: what we may and want to be WATCH THE VIDEO ON THE FUNDAMENTAL EXPERIENCES OF PSYCHOSYNTHESIS (YouTube) The Ideal Model is one of the fundamental active techniques used in Psychosynthesis to foster change and transformation. It consists,

𝐋𝐚 𝐩𝐬𝐲𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐲𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐞̀𝐬𝐞 𝐞𝐭 𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐩𝐬𝐲𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬 𝐝𝐮 𝐗𝐗𝐞 𝐬𝐢𝐞̀𝐜𝐥𝐞. 5.

June Theme. Following the Path: Psychosynthesis as a life-long practice for personal and spiritual growth.

With a focus on personal development, we invite essays, etc. from folks who have devoted many years to using PS as a personal path, whether they are also teaching or practicing in the field. How does it become a daily practice, formally and informally? How do its principles remind us of how to live? What have we used from our psychosynthesis guidebook in daily life, in crises, in the ongoing search for personal change or spiritual realization?

With a focus on Assagioli’s 7 core experiences, we invite articles that note particularly how these core theories and practices have served us as individuals, in families, in groups, at work and as global citizens.

These experiences are:
1. Disidentification
2. The personal self
3. The will: good, strong, skillful
4. The ideal model
5. Synthesis (in its various aspects)
6. The superconscious
7. The transpersonal Self (it is not possible in the majority of cases to have a complete experience of this; but it is good to have some theoretical knowledge

Do you know the experience of the will-to-be-you? Being completely present to what is? The experience of flow in an area where you felt restricted before?

These are the experiences psychosynthesis focuses on developing through its visions and psychospiritual practices. The Seven Core Concepts of Psychosynthesis are seven essential experiences that lead us toward the ultimate experience of being the fully embodied soul.

You can listen to my lecture from the International Psychosynthesis Conference in Sicily 2016 if you'd like to know more.

Awareness of what goes on in our inner world is the first step toward self-mastery, and who doesn’t want to master one's fears, attachments, and self-defeating impulses?

The next step is to accept and own one's impulses, emotions, and thoughts because there is no freedom in repression or sugarcoating the unruly forces that make up inner conflicts; better to call a spade a spade.

However, this is not enough to create deep transformational changes – the will must also be applied, the will to be an authentic self, the courage to step out of our comfort zones and express that identity in ACTION.

Big transformational changes demand that we manifest that new identity, envisioned in our heart, in new concrete behavior by going up against our conditioned self and its attachment to outer validation.

In other words, we must do things we are afraid of doing. We must go through a death process, where the old self dies of a lack of attention, and the new self gets born through the dynamic LIFE of the will. Every time we express our new identity in action, through words and deeds, we feed it with our Life Force, and a new identity is born and raised from inner potential to actuality.

The conscious "I," or the inner observer, which is consciousness itself, has its physical anchor in the “cave” of the brain, between the Pineal gland and Pituitary gland; however, let us be clear: the brain is embedded within consciousness and not the other way around.

When we recognize ourselves as pure consciousness, as a silent space within our mind, a light of recognition lightens up, and we discover, for the first time, the profound difference between the silent and unchangeable nature of our essential nature - the “I” and the changing and impermanent processes of our psychic nature.

This light in the head will gradually become stronger when we nurture the void through the practice of silence, and it will start to reflect more clearly its luminous source in the transcendent world – our nature as Atman, Soul, or Transpersonal Self.

Introductory Road Trip in Psychosynthesis 20/02/2024

Introductory Road Trip in Psychosynthesis Eleven years ago our family set off on a 7-month overland journey that took us from Cape Town to London in an outfitted Land Cruiser. What adventures we had! At the time it seemed a very brave thing to do. Now I understand that traveling through the inner landscape of our psyche can require more cou...

Two very different types of energies fuel the personality and soul; the personality drive is permanently attached to a lack, something we want to achieve through a dominant desire; however, it is a bottomless hole of want – and a new lack is emerging again and again until we change our vision of the good.

The soul consciousness is fueled by abundance from an internal reservoir of creative energy that longs to be shared because we are pregnant with the youth of eternal summers. It is never something external to us; it is the fountain of authentic identity. However, it comes with a price – the death of unauthentic behavior.

Your soul path is your way to abundance and creative service; it is your unique type of soul qualities.
