Nishkaam Karm: A concept coined by Lord Krishna in the holy book of the Hindus, The Shree Madbhagvat Geeta at the time of one of the greates mythological wars. Mahabharat states that once should focus on actions but not results.
What's the logic behind this? How does it apply in today's time? What's the meaning and purpose of focus then?
Let me answer your doubts.
Let's say, for an example, Anuj wishes to become a financial consultant in any private institution. Surrounded by the people in our society, relatives and friends, who talk about getting job in government institutions, any one can lose hope, can cancel the plan which is not certified by so called society.
In our example, Anuj too can cancel the plan of becoming a financial advisor not only because he does not have confidence but the result forecasting done by the society which ultimately reduce the chance of trying from 100% to 50% means either he will go for it or not.
Here comes the Nishkaam Karm, with the help of which Anuj can focus more on actions instead of results which will increase the chances of become a successful one by 50%. Here, he is at least trying what he loves to which is better than the previous one. To live a longer life, one should focus on his passion, the work one loves the most and here this can be applied to grow happily.
