We are actively looking for applications for our third cohort of research associates through an *internship*.

About ASAR-
ASAR is a *student-led research organisation* aiming towards democratising skill enhancement.
We work in two verticals:
1. *Dual internship projects with ASAR as well as corporate houses and think tanks like IIFL, NSDC, Invest India, Aditya Birla Money, Gram Vikas, startups, consultancy firms, etc*.
2. *Research Papers and Articles both interdisciplinary and specialised*. Some of which have already been published by *The Times Of India and Invest India*

To achieve this we organise various ideation sessions and programs with mentors to gain skills and knowledge from time to time. Our knowledge base comes from *The World Bank, Wharton, BCG, SRCC, IITs etc.*

We are elated to announce that ASAR has completed its very first corporate project with a Silicon Valley Ed-Tech Startup, working towards providing career counselling facilities and internships to high school students.

The team provided a Market Entry Strategy to the company, which aimed at entering the Indian market, by carrying out primary and secondary research, along with data analysis.

We are proud to announce that we are working with a startup based at Silicon Valley, US that aims at revolutionising the counseling system of India.

We will be enthralled if you could help out the organisation in conducting research by clicking on the QR code and filling out a short survey. The survey deals with the scenario of career counselling in India, it’s impact and potential.

ASAR is handling a primary research based project for the startup and will also analyse the psyche of young adults who are on the brink of starting their professional lives.

According to statistics, 44% of youth in India felt career counselling is important for them but only 1 out of 10 students receive career guidance in India, 93% of Indian schools don't have career counsellors leading to a 77% drop out rate after class 10!

Our team, at ASAR, conducted a survey to comprehend the current level of research at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The respondents included both students and teachers from all across India.

The findings reflect the vacuum that exists between students, teachers, and industry professionals that acts as a major barrier of entry for students to explore research as a lucrative career opportunity. 96.7% of the respondents agree that there is a need for a unified platform to undertake collaborative research projects. This is where we believe ASAR can create an impact with the help of our rich network aiding individuals to broaden their horizons by working under the guidance of bright intellectuals.

Research is an invaluable and reliable tool to begin understanding the complexities of various issues. It leads to inspiring direct, positive improvements across multiple sectors, including health, communications, business and the environment. Today, in an age where dual-careers and study across disciplines have gained prominence, the scope for interdisciplinary studies is huge.
