Uganda’s Rwenzori Mountain sometimes called Mountains of the Moon is a place of many wonders- it is probably the only place on the equator where you find snow, all year long. The Rwenzori Mountains is the second tallest mountain in Africa after Mountain Kilimanjaro and is a UNESCO world heritage site. Unlike other mountains in the region that are single standing volcanic, the free-standing, snow-covered, block Rwenzoris present a different character and an experience enriched with unique landscapes, the biggest glaciers in Africa and some of the rarest fauna and flora.

The African bush elephant is the largest (living) terrestrial mammal on earth. Elephants exhibit sophisticated intelligence, social behavior, and play a key role in wild ecosystems. Despite their essential roles in maintaining ecological balances and the flow of tourism income to the range states, the African elephant remains one of the topmost species faced with a high risk of extinction.

The African Elephant has two confirmed species the Bush elephant Loxodonta africana and the Forest elephant Loxodonta cyclotis, both of which exist in Uganda. The forest elephant is mainly found in Kibale National Park while Bush elephants live in Murchison Falls, Kidepo Valley, Queen Elizabeth national parks, and other Savannah wildlife reserves.
