Many of us have been listening to interviews, reading posts on social media and participating in local rallies, all around the world.

With all the information coming in, We are planning an informative virtual panel discussion directed towards our youth. We will be looking back at our history of past Morchas, and discussing the timeline of events over the past few weeks leading up to this protest. We will take a look at what is currently happening and the powerful display of Sikhi Spirit unfolding in front of us.

* Tavleen Kaur is a phenomenal camp organizer and speaker well-known to most of us for her great sewa many times at camp in past years.
* She brings out the passion in compassion with her community-oriented research work and activism.
* She is passionate about community development and mobilization, in particular smashing the heteropatriarchy and conceptualizing a life outside the capitalist-militarist realities of the present day.
* She holds a Phd in Visual Studies from University of California.
* Her research examines racialized hate violence on diasporic Sikh communities.

* Bhai Surjit Singh is a a great Kirtaniya from Punjab who is proficient in vocal singing to perform Kirtan in 31 Raags and 31 Raag forms of Shri Guru Granth Sahib.
* He has done Master of Arts (Music Vocal) and Master of Philosophy (Music Vocal) from Punjab University, Chandigarh.
* He loves singing Gurbani Kirtan and teaching Gurmat Sangeet to youth.

Speaker Announcement - Seema Kaur

We are delighted to welcome our next Featured Speaker Seema Kaur who will speak and facilitate a hands-on workshop on the importance of seva through food for Sarbat da Bhalla.

* Seema Kaur is a life long camper, and lover of all things camp!
* She has been attending and volunteering at gurmat camps in Canada and America since the late 1980's.
* She is passionate about doing seva in a variety of capacities, whether it be running the camp kitchen, co-founding Aasraa Food Pantry/Seva Truck Detroit or her current role as a member of the board of directors at Seva Food Bank in the Greater Toronto Area, helping others is her full time job.
* In her spare time, she is an avid car enthusiast, cake decorator and potter.
* As a budding “environmentalist” and animal lover, Seema believes firmly in making responsible daily lifestyle choices inspired by gurmat.

We have another exciting announcement of a Featured Speaker! Mohanapal Singh is going to be joining us again who will speak about Sustainable Living and how this concept is tightly entwined with sarbat da bhalla.

* Mohanpal Singh has been involved in youth camps and Sikh retreats for over twenty years.
* He enjoys working on projects which promote Sikh pride and teach Sikh values.
* He finds inspiration from Gurbani and tries his best to live according to Gurmat principles.
* He lives with his wonderful wife and delightful daughter in Ontario, Canada.

Let's meet our next Featured Speaker Jasdeep Singh who will be conducting interactive historical sessions on “Contributions of Sikh Gurus to the world - ਦੇਦਾ ਦੇ ਲੈਦੇ ਥਕਿ ਪਾਹਿ” in relation to this year's camp theme Sarbat Da Bhalla.

*Jasdeep Singh is local Windsor resident who is actively engaged in community and youth events.
*Jasdeep Singh is Director of Business Intelligence for a leading analytics firm.
* He has taught and spoken at IT conferences, Sikh camps and inter-faith symposiums.
* He is a student of theology and has participated in local community events.
* He likes to write and blog on Sikhism and faith based topics.

Meet our next guest Featured Speaker Kulvir Singh!

Bhai Kulvir Singh is joining us again and will be facilitating interactive talks about "Ardas" and "Langar" connected with sarbat da bhalla.

* Kulvir Singh Gill is a Senior Principal with Clareo Partners, a growth strategy consultancy based in Chicago.
* Previously, he worked as a management consultant with Oliver Wyman and with Barrick Gold Corporation in their organizational effectiveness practice.
* He has been actively involved in the Sikh-Canadian community. He has served in leadership roles with the Sikh Centennial Foundation, Spinning Wheel Film Festival, and Toronto Sikh Youth Retreats.
* He is a co-founder of Mississauga’s Seva Food Bank and Sikhs Serving Canada. Kulvir also serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors for the William Osler Health System Foundation and is on the board of Habitat For Humanity – Brampton.
* He was a 2011 Action Canada fellow and is a recent recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal.
* He holds a B.Sc. and a B.Comm. from the University of Calgary and currently lives with his family in Brampton.
* He is also a member of Sikh Research Institute’s Board of Directors.

Bhai Santbir Singh will be facilitating interactive sessions on topics "Degh-Tegh Fateh" and "Raj Karega Khalsa" in relation to this year's camp theme Sarbat Da Bhalla.

* Santbir Singh is a graduate of McGill University.
* He is an avid student of Sikh history and theology.
* He has taught and spoken at retreats, conferences and youth camps for well over a decade and a half.
* He tends to focus on Sikh inspirations for social activism, especially human rights and gender equality.
* He also tries to reach a more critical analysis of Sikhi from a wide variety of different schools of thought and resources.


Speaker Announcement - Dr. Jaspreet Kaur

Meet our next guest Featured Speaker Jaspreet Kaur at 2020 Windsor Gurmat Camp who will be talking about the "Kirtan and Sarbat Da Bhalla".

*Dr. Jaspreet Kaur Bal is a Professor in the Child and Youth Care program at Humber College in Toronto.
*She completed her PhD in Cultural Studies from Queen’s University in Kingston Ontario, where she focused on children’s rights, education, and returned for fieldwork to her village in Punjab.
*She looked at the United Nation’s Convention on the Rights of the Child and how as a universalised text it has disparate applications depending on whether a society is textually mediated or not.
*She serves on the Board of Directors of the Sikh Feminist Research Institute and Kaurs United International.

Meet "Balpreet Singh" - another amazing guest Featured speaker joining us again at this year's Windsor Gurmat Camp! He will do interactive session about "Transformational Power of Gurbani" for Sarbat da Bhalla.

*Balpreet Singh received his law degree from the University of Ottawa.
*After articling with a boutique disability and human rights law firm in Toronto, he became legal counsel for the World Sikh Organization of Canada in 2009.
*His practice focuses on human rights law and religious accommodation.
*Balpreet Singh has helped resolve several key accommodation issues for Sikhs in Canada, including the accommodation of the Kirpan in courthouses in Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia, on VIA Rail trains, as well as in Canadian embassies and consulates internationally.
*He serves as spokesperson for the World Sikh Origination (WSO) and is regularly consulted on Sikh issues in Canada by national media outlets.
*Balpreet Singh has worked with various public and private sector organizations to create resources and provide training on religious accommodation issues and best practices when interacting with persons of the Sikh faith.
*Balpreet Singh has taught Sikh youth all over North America at many different Gurmat camps and retreats.
*He currently serves as a director for the Canadian Race Relations Foundation.




Speaker Announcement - Rubin Paul Singh

Meet our guest Featured Speaker "Rubin Paul Singh" at this year’s Windsor Gurmat Camp! He will facilitate interactive sessions about "Social Activism" and "Khandey Dee Pahul" in relation to the theme of Sarbat da Bhalla.

*Rubin Paul Singh has been actively involved with the Sikh community, primarily with Sikh youth, for over 20 years.
*He regularly facilitates workshops across the country at khalsa schools, camps, retreats, and conferences on a variety of topics including gurmat, Sikh history, and social activism.
*In addition, Rubin in as an avid writer and spoken-word poet and has contributed to online publications such as SikhChic, The Langar Hall, and most recently on his own blog, "Spirit Of The Sikh."
*By training, Rubin is a technologist and works as a consultant in the nonprofit space. He earned his B.S. in Information Systems Management from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and his M.B.A. from the Johns Hopkins University Carey School of Business.
