Future French Dual Immersion of Boise
we are a group of parents and educators seeking the implementation of a French Dual Immersion program in our Boise School District.
Operating as usual
🌟 Calling all Boise residents! Your input matters! 🌟
Bonjour, Boise community!
We're thrilled to announce the exciting possibility of bringing a French immersion school (K-12) to our vibrant city, and we need YOUR input to make it a reality! 🇫🇷
Boise is already home to a French immersion school (Le Soleil) for infants to preschoolers, but currently has no immersion programs for higher grades (K-12), despite the recognized quality of these programs in terms of teaching and personal development for children. The opening of a French immersion class in an elementary school in the Boise school district would enable American and French-speaking families to offer new educational and cultural opportunities to their children.
If you're passionate about language education, cultural diversity, or simply eager to contribute to the growth of our educational landscape, we want to hear from you!
We would therefore like to ask for your help by inviting you to fill in this form to support this project to open a French immersion class in an elementary school in the Boise school district, so that your children can access quality education and bilingual opportunities already available in other states such as Utah and Alaska:

❗️CULTURAL EVENT❗️
Tomorrow’s film screening is an animated film the whole family can enjoy! 🦊🐔🐷🐰🦆🐥
Adapted from an acclaimed series of comic books written and illustrated by co-director Benjamin Renner, The Big Bad Fox and Other Tales is a delightful animated film, charmingly old-fashioned in its graphics but sly and witty with its contents. 🎞 The film will be presented by Marie-Anne Glover from the Department of World Languages.
🕰The film screening begins at 6pm in the Micron Business Building

Thank you for your support. We are working to gather information related to the logistics of the Dual Immersion program, and how to best approach the district with our plan.
Please start talking to people around you about how important languages are, about the benefits of bilingualism, of starting early. We are clearly lacking a French dual immersion program in Boise; it is our hope that with your support in the community, in your kids schools, we will be starting the first French DLI within the next few years.
Some of us will be heading to Salt Lake in the Spring to visit schools with an established French DLI.
C’est parti!
