Books on Race for Young Readers 02/06/2020

Hello my friends. I know that we are grappling with some really difficult times in our nation. It is so important for us as parents to have these hard conversations with our kids while also educating ourselves. Our gut reaction is , of course, to protect and shield our kids from so much ugliness but that time has passed. Racism thrives on silence. I have been putting together a book list for school aged children to help educate them on race issues in our nation. Please take a look. I hope that these resources are helpful. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Y7RIJd6ujr0yviCJ6eiDMcBP3VilvL_jQJ3aUo5HOwU/edit

Photos from California History with CG's post 24/04/2020

A few days ago I shared the covid19 time capsule project. My daughter Callie completed hers and it was such a powerful reminder of how resilient our kids are. And despite how hard this all is on all of us, we are doing exactly what our kids need. We are there and that’s what’s important. Thanks for always teaching us things Callie !
I hope your kids are enjoying theirs and I’d love to see what they wrote as well if you feel comfortable sharing it with us 🙂
