Joint Sapienza and McGill Universities Research Seminar: The Protection of Cultural Heritage in Times of Peace and in Times of Armed Conflict
The second edition of the Seminar on Law and Cultural Heritage “Heritage in War and Peace,” this year running under the theme of “Spaces of Conflict, Spaces of Justice: Between Natural Landscapes and Cityscapes.”
The Seminar is once again co-organised by the Sapienza Università di Roma and McGill University and this year will take place in a hybrid format at McGill on the 2nd and 3rd of November 2022. The deadline for abstract submission is end of July 2022.

This page is the official page of the Seminar organized by McGill University Faculty of Law | Faculté de droit - McGill in Montreal and Sapienza Università di Roma Dipartimento di Scienze politiche - Sapienza Università di Roma with the aim to highlight the importance of protecting cultural heritage both in time of peace and in time of war. As the issue is of cross cutting importance, this is not going to be only about law and lawyers! Leading Architects, Professors of Art History, Archaeologists, and defence officers will join us during the Seminar as well as representative of international organiations.
