School Fire Safety Inspection | November 21, 2023 , 1340 Hours

The Bureau of Fire Protection Luisiana (BFP) conducted a thorough fire safety inspection at our school premises.

The BFP team evaluated multiple aspects of our school's fire safety protocols, including emergency exits, fire extinguisher locations, emergency lights, and overall preparedness. We are pleased to announce that our school's efforts to keep a safe environment have been appreciated.

However, the inspection also provided important information, and in order to improve our fire safety protocols even more, we will be implementing the BFP team's suggestions.

November 16, 2023 || The SDRRM is on the move to provide information about the earthquake and tsunami, enhancing preparedness, ensuring swift responses, and potentially saving lives in the face of earthquakes and tsunamis.

Liceo de Luisiana Joins Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill

Today, November 9, 2023: Liceo de Luisiana students actively participated in the nationwide fourth-quarter simultaneous earthquake drill, spearheaded by the Student Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (SDRRM) with the guidance of MDRRMO. The primary objective of the exercise is to equip students with vital knowledge and skills, ensuring their ability to respond appropriately and stay safe in the event of an earthquake or any comparable disaster.

Ang buong officer ng SDRRM ay nagtungo sa Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office upang manumpa sa kanilang mga tungkulin. Ito ay pinangunahan ng ating MDRRM Officer na si Mrs. Ope Raflores Esperanza. The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), through the Office of Civil Defense, once again calls on the public to join the fourth quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill this 09 November 2023, 09:00AM!

| Mas lumakas at bumilis pa ang kilos ng bagyong Jenny habang tinatahak ang pa-hilagang kanluran na direksyon sa Philippine Sea.

Batay sa 11:00 AM update ng PAGASA, huling namataan ang bagyo, 600 kilometro silangan ng Calayan, Cagayan taglay ang lakas ng hangin na aabot sa 140 kph at pagbugso na 170 kph.

Sa ngayon, nakataas ang Signal No. 1 sa ilang bahagi ng Hilagang Luzon.

Patuloy namang palalakasin ng bagyo ang Southwest Monsoon o Hanging Habagat na magdadala ng pag-ulan sa Central at Southern Luzon, Visayas, at Mindanao sa susunod na tatlong araw.

PAALALA: Nakaranas ng 6.6 Magnitude na lindol ang Balut Island, Sarangani, Davao Occidental kaninang 9:47 AM. Alamin ang mga dapat gawin bago, habang at pagkatapos ng lindol.

LDL SDRRM organized an enlightening seminar attended by Grade 7, 8, 9, and 11 students, led by remarkable student speakers. The seminar delved into crucial disaster preparedness topics, featuring insightful discussions by LDL SDRRM Chairman Mr. Jerome Romana and LDL SDRRM Internal Chairman Mr. Joever Monticalbo. They shed light on common disasters and educated students on appropriate actions to take during such events, including essential knowledge on operating fire extinguishers.

Moreover, the seminar focused on imparting first aid skills, expertly guided by Medical Team Leader Ms. Chenille Milla, Assistant Team Leader Ms. Trisha Apostol, and Mr. Marvin Chavez. The students received valuable training on basic bandaging techniques and essential first-aid principles.

The primary aim of this seminar was to equip students with the knowledge to be alert and well-prepared during emergencies or disasters, ultimately enhancing their safety and well-being.
