TOMORROW...
Preschool-5th grade learning packets will be distributed in the Armory Parking lot. If you only need a packet, and not meals, you can go directly to the Armory Parking lot on Water St. on Tuesday, April 28 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.

Also, we have a limited supply of tree saplings that can be picked up tomorrow. These will be available in the Armory parking lot also.

Thank you!

Distance Learning in Owosso officially kicks of Monday, April 13th and we can't wait to get started!!

Your Owosso Elementary Team has created a website that will serve as the district's hub for K-5 learning. In addition, your teachers will be in contact with you to share the learning engagements that are specific to your child's classroom.

https://sites.google.com/owosso.k12.mi.us/ops-elem-online/home

Our main goals are:
💙 Maintaining positive relationships with our Owosso families and community
💙Providing easy to follow guidance to parents as they embark on a home learning journey
💙Ensuring that our students feel LOVED by their school!

Considerations:
💛 keep a consistent family schedule. Regular bedtime and wake up times are healthy routines to have in place.
💛 exercise, EVERYDAY! Mr. Lemanski, Ms. Haber and Mrs. Teft are offering lots of ideas in their Google Classroom.
💛 get outside, EVERYDAY! Spending time outside and in nature offer significant and long ranging health benefits, for kids AND adults.
💛 limit non-educational screen time.
💛 eat healthy. Remember the district has options for pick up and delivery food assistance.
💛 stay positive and care for your family's mental health. Focus on your family's physical and mental well being. Stay in tune with your child's emotions. If they are exhibiting signs of stress, rebellion, sadness, or inattention start on the low end of academic engaged time and work up from there.

The following graphic recommendation, per grade level, for time spent on schoolwork.

Have a wonderful weekend, and we will "see" you in the classroom!
