Day 1: Today's Reading Community was successfully conducted through the help of 2nd PMFC MIS OCC PNP spearheaded by PLTCOL Harvey Seranno Abellanosa .

In celebration of the National Reading Month '21, LABO NHS community, together with the school heads, Sir Edilberto Pongase Jr., Dionesia T. Alfeche, sir Rowel Dag-uman, CNR Coordinators, English Coordinator, Language & subject teachers, Master Teachers and Labo Brangay Council, shows undeniable enthusiasm in carrying out meaningful activities among selected learners residing in Purok 4, Labo, Ozamiz City.

The said activity was filled with reading sessions, storytelling, and fun games. The learners were very cooperative and energetic during the discussion. With constant follow up and by applying helpful reading strategies, Labo learners will surely become independent readers!

1 day down, 2 sessions to go! See you tomorrow at Labo Barangay Hall (9am) for the 2nd session.

Basta labo, BIBO!

"It takes a village to raise a child."

Practicing a good reading habit at home is a great preparation for every child to thrive academically and personally. Hence, we highly urge every parent and guardian to encourage your child's reading practices. Ask them to read and learn with you. Remember, every child's fist step starts at home.

Thanks to Maam Almaluna D. Cantero-Piatos and Maam Flor Medina Rojas for leading this activity. Kudos to all reading teachers!

Morning Reflection❤🙏❤

God Is Always With You
By: Inspirational Page

Mr. Peter had a job interview to attend at 10am but his wife developed complications at 9am. He decided to take the wife to the hospital and leave for the interview thereafter but on their way to the hospital, the taxi broke down. It was already 10:30am before he could get another taxi.

He arrived at the hospital at 11am, dropped the wife, and used the same taxi to go for the interview. He arrived at the interview venue at 12noon (2hours late).

He rang the bell but no one opened the door. Meanwhile, earlier at 10am, the company mail delivery had rung the bell but no one opened the door too. When the door was finally opened, Mr. Peter said "I'm sorry, I came... " he wanted to apologize for coming late, but the Secretary interrupted before he could finish his statement and ushered him to the Board Room. The Secretary said, "I apologize, Mr. Peter, for keeping you waiting since 10am. We actually heard when the bell rang at 10am but we were held up in a meeting with our company suppliers.

However, we have sat since 8am to deliberate on your job specification, your office, and the salary."

Mr. Peter was baffled and said, "Ma'am, I haven't been interviewed yet’’. The MD answered him and said, "We decided not to conduct the interview at least to save time and also save the interviewees money on transport. So we looked at the papers for the most appropriate person we wanted and we opted for you. Also, we had tested your patience this morning by keeping you waiting intentionally for 2hrs. That's part of your interview. You won't be disappointed. You’ll be shown your office, your secretary, and the driver assigned to drive your company's allotted vehicle. You’ll be on probation for 2yrs."

He got the job!!!

On his way out, his phone rang and it was the wife. She said, "honey, I was delivered of a bouncing baby boy." It was their fifth child and the only male child. He immediately named the child 'Miracle'.

He got a double miracle the same day. All the disappointments turned out to favor him. God positioned the mail delivery man to ring the bell at 10am.

God also held them up in the meeting until Mr. Peter arrived.
_Note:_ You might be held up by issues in your life and hope might be diminishing and you think the chance is gone. But you know what? God's waiting for you to release His favor.

So don't go back along the way. Don't quit. Don't be upset by what you face along the way. In fact, God has already deliberated on your specifications.

One more thing: You don't have to go through an interview, since you have all the qualifications God wants.

My Prayers For You:

1. God will position somebody at the right place and the right time for you who will ring the bell in your favor.

2. God will turn all your disappointments to be a blessing for you.

3. Every positive meeting will end in your favor and every negative meeting will scatter in your favor.

May this be your portion.

Reflections😍
❤ The journey is short ❤
An elderly woman got on a bus and sat down. At the next stop, a strong, grumpy young woman climbed up and sat down beside the old woman, hitting her with her numerous bags.

When she saw that the elderly woman remained silent, the young woman asked her why she had not complained when she hit her with her bags?

The elderly woman replied with a Smile: "There is no need to be rude or discuss something so insignificant, as my trip next to you is so short, because I am going to get off at the next stop."

This answer deserves to be written in gold letters: "There is no need to discuss something so insignificant, because our journey together is too short."

Each of us must understand that our time in this world is so short, that darkening it with useless arguments, jealousy, not forgiving others, discontentment and bad attitudes are a ridiculous waste of time and energy.

Did someone break your heart? Stay calm.
The trip is too short.❤️

Did someone betray you, intimidate, cheat or humiliate you? Relax - Don't be Stressed
The trip is too short.❤️

Did someone insult you without reason? Stay calm. Ignore it.
The trip is too short.❤️

Did a neighbor make a comment that you didn't like? Stay calm. Ignore him. Forgive that.
The trip is too short.❤️

Whatever the problem someone has brought us, remember that our journey together is too short.❤️❤️

No one knows the length of our trip. Nobody knows when it will arrive at its stop.
Our trip together is too short.

Let us appreciate friends and family.
Let us be respectful, kind and forgiving.🙌🏻

Because we will be filled with gratitude and joy, after all
Our trip together is very short.❤️

Share your smile to everyone....
Our trip is Very Short!❤️

Happy Teacher's Day!!!

THIS POEM IS DEDICATED TO ALL TEACHERS

I AM A TEACHER...

I May be a School Teacher,
I May be a College Lecturer,
I May be a University Professor !

Behind That Doctor,
It is Me, a Teacher •••

Behind That Engineer,
It is Me, a Teacher ••

Behind That Statistician,
It is Me, a Teacher •••

Behind That Nuclear Physicist,
It is Me, a Teacher•••

Behind That Mathematician,
It is Me, a Teacher •••

Behind That Scientist,
It is Me, a Teacher •••

Behind That Zoologist,
It is Me, a Teacher •••

Behind That Entomologist,
It is Me, a Teacher •••

Behind That Botanist,
It is Me, a Teacher •••

Behind That Economist,
It is Me, a Teacher •••

Behind That Entrepreneur,
It is Me, a Teacher •••

Behind That Lawyer,
It is Me, a Teacher •••

Behind That Political Scientist,
It is Me, a Teacher •••

Behind That Psychologist,
It is Me, a Teacher •••

Behind That Architect,
It is Me, a Teacher •••

Behind That Astrologer,
It is Me, a Teacher •••

Behind That Astronomer,
It is Me, a Teacher •••

I Carry the Light Even though they mostly make Fun of Me by their Uncharitable Jokes •••

But I am a Teacher •••

I don't Qualify for a Bungalow or a Villa nor Earn enough to buy an Expensive House or a Car like Corrupt Officers and Corrupt Politicians.

But Yes, I am a Teacher •••

Some Think or even Say that I have too many Holidays. They never know that I Spend those Holidays either correcting Papers or Planning what and how I am going to Teach when I go back to Blackboard or Whiteboard ...

Because I am a Teacher •••

Sometimes I get Confused and even get Stressed by the Ever-changing Policies over what and how I have to Teach ...

Despite All That, I am a Teacher and I Love to Teach and I am Teaching •••

On Pay-days I don't Laugh as Corrupt Officers and Others do, But by the Next day I Love to come with a Smile to those that I Teach ...

Because I am a Teacher ••

The main Source of My Satisfaction is when I see them Grow. I See them Succeed. I See them having all those Assets. I See them Bravely Face the World and its Challenges. And I Say yes I have Taught in Spite of Living in a World Opened by Google...

Because I am a Teacher ••• Yes I am a Teacher •••

It doesn't Matter how they Look at Me, It doesn't Matter how much more they Earn than I Do.

It Doesn't Matter that they Drive while I Walk because All what they have is through Me, A Teacher ...

Whether they Acknowledge Me or Not ... I am a Teacher ....

[You may forward. this poem to all; and make each Teacher, Lecturer or Professor proud of their care.

Looking back, Engr. Richard U. Dy was once like any of us. He was a dreamer but also a doer. What makes him distinct is his drive to persevere and his passion for everything he does. He puts so much effort into equipping himself with the right knowledge and skills. He opened the door to see the world in a wider view. He reads a lot and makes every learning etched in his heart. Now, Engr. Richard hopes to inspire each of you to take time to open a book and find your door where great opportunities await.😉

Ever since, Mr. Steven Colcol has been bringing honor to Labo NHS by bagging various awards inside and outside the province. He was very dedicated in achieving his dreams and spent his time on reading some articles about places that made him utterly eager to experience it someday. True enough, he has seen the wonders of the world which then was just a mere imagination. Reading serves as his propeller to reach a distance, far more beautiful and real.
Be like sir Steven, read more and be more!
