Hello there! 👋👋👋
Today, we want to share some tips for talking about Money with Teenagers!
Do you run out of of money at the end of the month? (Don’t we’ll all?).
Here are 5 tips to help you manage your household budget better:
1. Create a detailed budget
Outline your monthly income and categorise expenses, including essentials like housing, utilities (water, gas, electricity), groceries, and spending on non-essentials (like going out and holidays)
2. Track what you spend:
Keep track of what you are spending your money on so you can see where it is going. Many apps can help you do this.
3. Set realistic goals:
What are your short-term and long-term goals? Do you want to save money? Reduce debt? Go on a dream holiday?
4. Prioritise savings:
Save at the beginning of the month, not at the end. Try to save a percentage of your wages before you think about other expenditure.
5. Cut Costs:
Identify areas where you can cut costs and spend less such as eating at restaurants, canceling unused subscriptions (that gym membership you never use) or checking for cheaper service providers for insurance, gas or electricity.

Skill #2: Risk Assessment: Learning about money means understanding risks (the bad things that can happen) and rewards (the good things that can happen). This is a helpful skill at work. It means you can help your boss decide what's the best choice to make. 😊🙌
