This is the very southern end of the Sierra Nevada from a little excursion I took in April trying to connect to the PCT from Hwy 14 out of the Dove Springs area. I made it after a couple of "Oh, oh-s" and I didn't get stuck or roll over. :) I was taken by the views of the Piute Mountains looking west from the trail. I'm not sure which peak that is in the photo but maybe Piute, Brown, or Liebel?? Whichever one it is beautiful and inspiring to further explorations.
