had a broken mirror in it - clearanced to 2.49 - I had this thin corkboard at home.. took out the mirror and cut down the cork. And Viola!

It might be summer, but I feel like this is really good info any time of year...
Did you know that there is a learning disability specific to WRITING? It's called Dysgraphia. I think most people have heard of Dyslexia, which is specific to reading, but this one affects a person's ability to write... and, they are frequently found together.
There are two other related disabilities as well... Dyscalculia, which affects the ability to learn math, and Dyspraxia, which affects physical coordination.

Though there are definite challenges with autism... it does come with some pretty amazing benefits. I can personally attest to every single one of these. 🥰

Too many times we see IEP teams pushing through hard IEP goals with no break.
That's not ok.
In real life we get to pause, rest, and try again.
We can make that happen in school too!
Students get burnt out too!

Just a little truth to remind you that we are at the table to work together, not to find a new BFF.
It's totally possible to have an amazing working relationship with an IEP team, even if you wouldn't ever hang out together outside of school.
