The Special Education PTO Nominating Committee is currently developing a list of additional candidates to build out the Executive Committee. We want to reach out to see if there are any more parents that would be interested in one of the positions. In order to offer the most access to the SEPTO to families, staff, and students, the PTO is going to be electing Co-positions for each of the executive board positions. Please see the Board Position descriptions below and complete the survey if you are interested in a position for the 24/25 school year. The election will be held next week and the PTO Executive Board will meet 2-3 times in the summer to discuss budget, event calendar, and committee positions. Thank you for your interest!

What a day!!! Just wrapped up our FISD Transition Center garage sale - all said and done we should be bringing in just under $3,000 😃 Big shout out to our students who have worked so hard prepping all these items & working today, to all those who donated items. to our cause, and to all the volunteers that helped us set up AND rescued us at the end 👏👏👏 Extra special thank you to my favorite garage sale crew who show up for me time and time again 💙 you know who you are!

Are you looking for a Valentine’s Day gift to spoil your special someone and support local special needs dancers? You’re in luck! 20% of the proceeds raised this weekend can do just that!

Hi there! If you don’t know me, my name is Madison Pack. I am a 3rd grade teacher at Bales and I also teach a weekly dance class called Darbys Dancers (which includeds a large number of our Friendswood ISD students in it). This is a class for special needs dancers offered at Chara Christian Dance Academy. We believe that all children deserve the opportunity to experience the joy of dance, no matter their disability. This class is free of charge to our special needs dancers and their families. That means we need to do fundraisers throughout the year to be able to purchase costumes, shoes, and cover the studio fees for each student. Your support of our program allows us to bring this wonderful gift to our special needs community. Thank you for your support! 🤍

The Transition Center has teamed up with Helpful Harmonies Music Therapy and Autumn Oak Speech Voice & Hearing to create these super cute Trick-or-Treating bags with a built in communication board. The businesses have sponsored the cost of the materials and the Transition Center students are pressing and assembling the bags! All proceeds from sales benefit the Transition Center.

Each canvas bag has a 15 x 16 base, large enough for lots of goodies! Included in the bag is a free Trick-or-Treating Social Story. Bags are $20 each, please use the link below to fill out the order form. https://forms.gle/HZkDiPyYESYB115F8

We are having a Pampered Chef fundraiser party to support our PTO! During the month of August 2023, Pampered Chef will donate up to 30% of total party sales! Plus they will donate $6 for each party booked from this one! When 3 wonderful party guests book a party, our host Dorrie Spain will donate an additional $14 per party booked and send a gift to the people who book parties!
