🌱🍎 Celebrating July as Nutrition Month! 🍎🌱

At SIKATUNA NATIONAL AGRICULTURAL HIGH SCHOOL we are proud to join the nation in celebrating July as Nutrition Month. As part of our commitment to promoting a healthy lifestyle and sustainable food practices, we have undertaken several initiatives through the Gulayan sa Paaralan program.

🌿 πŸ’° FAIR DISTRIBUTION OF GPP INCOME:
We are delighted to share that, throughout the year, our students have worked diligently in our gardens and successfully grown a variety of crops. As a token of appreciation for their hard work and dedication, we have fairly distributed the income generated from the sales of these crops back to the students. This initiative not only teaches them valuable skills but also rewards them for their efforts in the horticultural field.

🍽️ FEEDING PROGRAM:
Furthermore, our dedicated classroom advisers have initiated a feeding program in each classroom. Recognizing the importance of proper nutrition for our students' growth and development, we aim to provide them with healthy and balanced meals. By incorporating fresh produce from our gardens, we promote the consumption of nutritious food while cultivating a sustainable food source within our school community.

We would like to express our gratitude to all the students, teachers, and staff members who have contributed to the success of these initiatives. It is through their collective efforts that we are able to foster a culture of nutrition and sustainability within our school.

Let's continue to prioritize our well-being and make healthy choices not just in July, but all year round! 😊 πŸ₯ πŸ₯‘

More than just an oasis to grow veggies, our school gardens also serve other purposes as well. It is an idyllic spot where students can engage with nature, learn about the environment, and foster an overall sense of community.

πŸ‘‰ We are really delighted that BOHECO personnel finally visited the school today and conducted some tappings in several particular classroom buildings. This energizes us knowing that it has gone through more than half of powering the entire school, enabling it to function alongside other technical instructional facilities.

We may remember that the transformer was recently brought in and was already installed, which adds further symbolic significance to the total accomplishment and realization of the school's long-desired power sufficiency and efficiency.

Again, we want to convey our profound appreciation to those important people who helped us reach this milestone. We also want to express our enormous thanks to the LGU-Talibon, which is steered over by none other than Mayor JANETTE A. GARCIA, who is incredibly motherly, engaged, and committed to serving the public. We notably cherish her support for the monetary expenditures associated with reconnecting and repowering the school buildings.

πŸ‘‰ It's finally over after a lengthy wait!

For SNAHS, today's top story is yet another indispensable one. Finally installed was the long-awaited TRANSFORMER. For the school in its entirety to be completely energized, this is massively important. The school has been forced to use a meager amount of electricity for far too long, deterring the best possible use of tools like TVs in the classroom. For years, we have eagerly anticipated this. Using technological resources to augment teachers' instructions will help students learn more effectively and better, which will elevate the school's physical infrastructure as well.

Thank you so much to our responsible school principal Restilous Artiaga for being proactive and purposefully trying every viable means to get this on our doorstep at last. And to everyone who made a substantial contribution to its realization, SNAHS is sincerely appreciative of your efforts!

πŸ‘‰Plan out and practice what to do in the unlikely event of an earthquake!

As posited in DM No. 0107, s. 2023, SNAHS takes part in the Quarterly Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on March 9 at 2:00 p.m.

You and your nearest and dearest will have a greater awareness of what to do if you are disentangled from them during an earthquake by taking an active part in earthquake drills. Be sure you are acquainted with the school's emergency response procedures for calamities.

The proper ex*****on of school drills will also help safeguard against panic, which could cause accidents if everyone becomes overtaken with fear during a traumatic incident. As a result of the regular occurrence of earthquakes in our geographic region, we must integrate earthquake preparedness in our overall emergency plan.

Thank you and congratulations πŸ‘ πŸŽ‰ to everyone for taking part so actively, notably the SDRRM for spearheading the effort!

πŸ‘‰ March is acknowledged and honored as International Women's Month and Women's History Month in several countries. The historical achievements made by women to society are being honored, remembered, and celebrated at this time.

It's time to recognize and honor women's accomplishments and roles in society. It is an excellent chance to acknowledge both the ongoing work that needs to be done and the accomplishments made toward gender equality. Let's all keep encouraging and empowering women in all spheres of life.

The introduction of its new theme, "WE for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society", for the years 2023 through 2028, makes this year a pivotal turning point in its progress. Every eighth of March is designated as International Women's Day.

The SNAHS faculty actively contributes in its observation and GAD advocacy with a streamlined but significant initiative to demonstrate their support for all SUPERWOMAN out there.
