Update on little neeve 💕

Neeve now weighs 4 pounds 1!

She’s having a tough time at the moment scaring us half to death.

She seems to be dropping her sats dramatically which causes her to need some extra help to get back up.

The doctors have her on antibiotics for a chest infection,

This picture was just before she decided to send us grey ( always happens while on mama ) starting too think she just doesn’t like me 😂

She can go from being fine to being extremely dramatic within minutes, hopefully the doctor will get to the bottom of it.

Still waiting for a transfer to Pinderfields as Neeve was too poorly we missed the chance to move last week.

Still a very long way off home as we have oxygen requirements to battle and also feeding obstacles and we haven’t yet started on feeding.

I know people mean well when they ask when she is coming home but it’s disheartening when we have to say not yet, she’s just under 4 weeks off her due date which they aim for but this is very unlikely for Neeve.

Neeve has Chronic Lung Disease so she has very poorly lungs which means even the slightest cold or infection could make her very poorly, it’s possible she will come home on oxygen, but as long as we get her home with us we will fight through every battle with her 🌈

Update on little Neeve🌈

Neeve is doing amazingly well, she has managed to stay off the ventilator so far.

She now weighs 3 pound 2!

Her ECHO of her heart showed her pda has started to close on its own.

So so so proud of her ❤️

36 days in and Little Neeve will be extubated tommorow if she has a settled night!

This will be the third Attempt! Fingers crossed she’s strong enough this time.

She’s doing so well ❤️

Update on little neeve 💕

Neeve is doing so well bless her, Shes on 8ml of feeds every 2 hours💕

Her brain scan has come back normal💕

She’s had her eyes tested again and they are absoloutely fine💕

She’s been on 24% oxygen and the doctor came round tonight to say they may try her off the ventilator again in the next couple of days. 💕

Her tummy is nice and soft and she’s giving the nurses a run for their money with constant nappy and sheet changes 💕

Update on little Neeve - 25 days old

Consultants have decided to do surgery today, there not actually sure what they are going to find when the get in there, She will have a stoma fitted and that will be fitted till she’s over 2 kilos so they said looking at around 2 month and then they can put her bowel back together and back in place,

There thinking they may need to remove part of a bowel or possibly banding around her bowel is causing an obstruction,

Best case scenario they don’t find anything wrong and close her back up but there said with her not having a poo for Nearly a month there going to find something.

Not sure what time they are taking her down, the surgery will take about 3-4 hours again that all depends what they find.

Update on little neeve -14/07/2021

16 days old today -

Neeve is still on her antibiotics for her NEC condition, she’s had a brain, kidney and Stomach scan today so hopefully will get the results tomorrow.

They have started her on some diuretics as she has some patches on her lungs which is meaning she needs more oxygen so hopefully that will help.

They are still taking it day by day and keeping a very close eye on her.

She’s a little fighter and the most precious tiny little girl.

As you can see she looks very relaxed 💕

Mamas first cuddle ❤️ 12 Days Old

Update on little neeve -

They are still treating her medically for the NEC condition, she’s now on morphine so she’s settled,

Her infection markers are coming down,

Her brain scan showed one side is improving the other side is still the same but not worse. Will be repeating again next week,

Her stomach scan still showed her bowel is dilated but they are keeping a close eye on her.

Update for little neeve- not good news at the minute, her stomach Is swelling up and they think she has something wrong with her bowel they aren’t sure what it is whether it’s an infection or a condition that preemie babies can get, she will be having another X-ray this morning, there not sure if they will have to operate they are keeping a close eye on her and she will be off her feeds for 14 days.

Special tiny clothes for little neeve when she’s ready to wear them 💕

Little Neeve had to go back onto the ventilator today as she was struggling and her blood pressure was up and down but they’ve given her some medicine for that and a course of antibiotics and they will take it from there,

Absoloutely the hardest thing to have to go through 😞

Definitely going to be a little gymnast with those legs 💕

No matter what she just flings them back out of her little nest the nurses make for her 💕

Little Neeve this afternoon -

5 days old today - Neeve came of the ventilator today and they have attempted her on the CPAP Machine, hopefully she does well and stays settled and doesn’t have to go back on the ventilator.

Update from the Neonatal Team Overnight- Neeve had a settled night and has done well with her milk feed and was settled back asleep.
