For Black History Month, I will be highlighting ways to celebrate the impact, achievements, and beauty of the Black community this month and 365 days a year.
Today we will highlight the book “Patricia’s Vision”.
Patricia was a curious child and when all her friends wanted to be nurses, she knew she wanted to be a doctor. This biography explores Patricia’s journey to becoming the first Black woman to receive a medical patent for the Laserphaco Probe, which improved the process for removing cataracts for medical patients.
Here are some great children’s books for Holocaust Remembrance Day.
As we celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. , here are some amazing books to share. 📚

Ahhh January ❄️
Don’t forget to take time to re-teach routines and re-explain expectations. These are never just a one and done.
Motivational Monday:

This study was from 2018. It is so important to represent our students through books, pictures, learning materials, etc.
Are you having a fall festival? Be sure to truly make it a fall festival. If you are asking kids to dress up and handing out candy it’s really Halloween in disguise.
Be mindful that not all families celebrate Halloween.
Know the difference between equity, equality, and justice? This picture is a visual representation.
