Awesome archery! On Tuesday, Year 5 and 6 had the wonderful opportunity to develop their accuracy skills and improve their archery techniques. They spent time completing balloon popping challenges, showed excellent perseverance and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. This opportunity also allowed us to think ahead to the many sports that will be part of the olympics this summer.

Reception had a fantastic day at Somerset Museum. The children found out about different types of castles and how they were protected by features such as a moat. We found out about life in the castle that is now Somerset Museum. We looked at armour and other historical artefacts and played a 'Guess What's In The Box' game. The children did castle crafts- making a shield with their own crest on it and also dressed up as knights and royalty in the role play area. We went on a tour of the castle to find out about the history of the castle and spotted features like the gates, turrets and the wall around the outside. The children behaved beautifully, and a member of the public commented that they are a credit to their school! 😊💙🧡
