The Vocal Connection
Finding Confidence and Power Through Your Voice
I have had a bunch of people ask about a daytime Level one course for adults 18+. This course deep dives into how the voice works and is a great way to make 1:1 voice lessons more productive.
Come sing with me!! Monday's 11-12 on zoom (we are still deciding if we have class on the holidays or skip those weeks and extend the the class by 2 weeks.. So if you are interested but need have weekend travel plans for the holidays, we can work with that.
Class Specifically for Homeschool Families is now available. Learn the Anatomy and Physiology of the voice so that you can understand exactly how to use your incredible instrument.
I am teaching this course specifically for Homeschool Families this coming semester. It is an incredible foundation for the voice and can count as science credit for certain school programs like My Tech High.
I love teaching Adults to sing, but I understand that weekly lessons are tough to schedule. So as of January, I will offer a-la-cart daytime lessons for Adults live at my Eagle Mountain Studio and on Zoom.
I prefer 1-hour lessons when done this way because 30 minutes can be spent on technique and 30 minutes on improving your chosen song. This gives you plenty to work on until the next lesson.
2 ways to sign up:
You can buy a 4, 6, or 10 lesson pass (discounted rate-$55 per hr lesson) or pay as you go $60 per hour lesson)
You will schedule lessons similar to scheduling a hair or nail appointment. I will have a few days a week open from 10 to 2 for adult voice lessons.
You can use my calendar link and schedule what works best for you.
Please tell me if this is something you would like to utilize, and I will get you my calendar link for January!
I am loving my new logo made by my extremely talented sister in-law Kevin Kristine Hunter. Kristine is a fabulous graphic designer. I am so grateful for all of her many digital creations!
I love this logo. It represents the growth each of my students have as we develop their voice. They bloom just like this flower in confidence and spirit. As their skills in singing and speaking grow so does every aspect of their life Thank you for helping me create it.

Global stops can wreck a voice. Learn how to manage them for both speaking and singing by connecting words and phrases, and using air flow.
Vowels are one of the most important parts of singing. We have to modulate our spoken vowels so they are more open and create a more consistent tone quality.
The first step when my students begin a new song is diagramming their music. This process gives them visual cues of which register they should be singing in. When the need to breath. When to get louder or softer. When to jump on the vowel to a higher note etc... as students advance I ask them to try and practice diagramming their own music.
End goal: Students can take any song diagram it out and learn it. If executed properly they will be performing the song at a higher and more confident level using correct technique.
I teach students to use and blend through 4 registers. Learning to speak in each of these registers is very important
*If you can't speak it, you can't sing it.
Head Voice or falsetto = Mickey or Minnie Mouse Voice *resonates in the forhead)
Head Blend/Light Mix = Lifted and Gentle Princess or Suave Voice (resonates in mask/nose&cheek area)
Chest Blend/Chest Mix= Lifted cheekbones Excited Voice (think valley girl - (resonates in mask, nose & cheek area, must activate Cry for higher tones)
Chest Voice = Regular talking voice
(Resonates in the chest)
My purpose and goal:
The cover of my book that I am beginning to write.
