My curious kids found this amazing spider's web when we were camping this weekend. It looks like a clear sheet of web and it is strong enough to touch and not be broken! I know lots of you love your minibeasts - can you tell us anything about this web in the comments below??

Gosh, we have come to the end of the first full year of Curious Kids after school clubs. A huge thank you to Nailsworth Primary, Beaudesert Park School and for all your amazing support in welcoming me and Curious Kids into your schools.
In particular, thank you to a number of curious kids (and your parents) who have been with me for nearly 2 years since I very first started Curious Kids after school clubs.
I am very touched to have received this card and some chocolates from curious kids at Brimscombe Primary. 😊
I wish you all the best of luck moving on and up your school and hope your love of science and curious minds stay with you forever.

Next year brings some very exciting developments for Curious Kids, including bringing Curious Kids to more schools around Gloucestershire. Watch this space for updates!!

💦 Measuring how much water you should drink every day to stay healthy
💦 Lots of water play

Nailsworth - see you in Bog Tops on Tuesday morning
Amberley - see you on Wednesday afternoon

It is my last Curious Kids after school clubs for the term and I will be saying goodbye to all our current curious kids as they move up their schools to higher years. Thank you to each and everyone of you for all your support. It has been a privilege to get to know your curious kids over the past 2 years, many of whom have been with me since my first ever after school club! I love seeing them every week with their excited faces asking "what are we answering this week?". 😊

We have 2 exciting Curious Kids to end the term on:

Beaudesert Park School a very topical question for the current weather: "Why do we have to drink water?" where you will be measuring how much water you need to drink and making these great tissue dyed pictures your yourselves.

Nailsworth Primary and we are ending on the biggest question yet from a curious kid: 'How did monkeys turn into humans?' where we are exploring evolution. We will be looking at the timeline of evolution of life on Earth up to the present day, making Human Evolution books to take home and looking very closely at birds beaks and thinking about Natural Selection.

I can't wait to see you all for our final Curious Kids.

We have a couple of different after school clubs running next week, so please see which one applies to you!
: How did monkeys turn into humans (exploring evolution)
: Why do we have to drink water
Nailsworth Primary: Why do we have to drink water

Both are going to be loads of fun.
In our evolution Curious Kids we are exploring what Charles Darwin noticed about different bird's beaks in our activity "Curious Kids Islands" and how that links to Natural Selection.
In our water Curious Kids we will be measuring how much water we should drink each day and exploring why drinking water is so important. Plus bringing home a life sized craft!

Please note there are only 2 sessions left of this term. Thanks.
