AnimalWatch is currently at The University of Arizona, funded by grants from IES and RAND. AnimalWatch is an online tutorial for algebra readiness.

It is being used by 6th grade California math teachers in an Efficacy Study led by WestEd. Students solve colorful word problems with environmental science themes. Integrated multimedia hints and lessons help students learn at their own pace. Fast-based Skill Builder modules build students' proficiency with basic math facts and math vocabulary. AnimalWatch can be used in math class, for homework, or just for fun!

The black mask is becoming more and more pronounced. Each BFF’s mask is individualized, like your finger print.

In the wild the ferret lives its life in prairie dog colonies on the short grass prairie. Over 90% of the ferret’s diet is prairie dog.
To some Native People the ferret is sacred. The Lakota name for the ferret “pispiza etopta sapa” means ‘black face prairie dog’.

I think they look like a bandit with the black mask —“the masked bandit of the prairie”!
