**(NOTE: If your are frequently eating less calories than your R.M.R. this can & will cause problems for you)
⚠️⚠️⚠️MISCONCEPTIONS:
❌Exercise plays the largest role in your daily energy expenditure!
❌A calorie is a calorie, no matter the type of food!
❌Daily movement doesn't matter much if you workout!
❌And then, not actually a misconception, but instead, zero thought at all put into how much your body needs to operate properly. (R.M.R)
✔️✔️✔️REALITY:
✅Exercise is responsible for the smallest amount of energy burning each day.
**(NOTE: this does NOT mean exercise isn't important. It can quite literally add YEARS to your life & improve your daily well-being & bodily functioning)
✅A calorie is not a calorie; food composition matters. Often people don't need to eat LESS calories, but just more protein, & fiber helps too.
**(NOTE: Protein requires the most energy to digest, transport, metabolize, etc (a high "thermic effect of food") followed by carbs, and then fat)
✅How many steps you take per day, if your job is active vs. sedentary, how much you use your hands when you talk, if you have a standing job or a desk job etc....this all ADDS UP.
**(NOTE: Your 1 hour workout doesn't give you permission to not move the rest of the day.
✅YOU NEED CALORIES TO LIVE.
