Thank you all for attending our 8th webinar on cataract surgery, refraction & optics by Dr Raisah Owasil πŸ€“ So lovely to see so many returning students & new attendees πŸ™Œ! We've enjoyed teaching on all the sessions thus far.

Cataract surgery πŸ‘ is the most common intraocular surgery performed worldwide & remains in the top 5 operations that directly improve patient quality of life. The physics behind vision - including refraction & optics - is complicated, let's face it. Many trainees struggle with the concepts and just end up rote learning the material. Keep principles simple, build on physics πŸ”¬ knowledge from school and use textbooks πŸ“– to support your learning (E.g. Clinical Optics by Elkington, Optics Made Easy by Sirang & Basic Vision by Snowden). These are often easy marks on the .
