The end is also the beginning—SDS Ullalim
Pooten ends term; Pecdasen sits anew

Reverend Patrick Matthew B. Pooten turned over his functions and responsibilities as school head to Mrs. Tan-ayen D. Pecdasen after turning 65 on his birthday last February 28, 2022 during the Send Off and Installation Program conducted at Ankileng National High School.

The Schools Division Superintendent Sally B. Ullalim, CESO V, inaugurated Tan-ayen D. Pecdasen, Head Teacher III, as the head teacher-in-charge of the school effective immediate that day until further notice.

“Being the new head of this school, it is your duty and responsibility to supervise and direct all school teaching and non-teaching personnel, manage instructional system and more importantly promote and coordinate services for the holistic development of personnel and students,” said SDS Ullalim as she inducted Pecdasen. She then concluded in the installation that it is expected for her (Pecdasen) not to be staying at Ankileng NHS for long but can be transferred to other stations for her professional development.
SDS Ullalim greeted Rev. Pooten, the outgoing school principal, on his birthday celebration and congratulated him for his dedication and commitment in the 23 years of service in the department.

“Sometimes, it is when the person is leaving that we realize his/her value that is why while we have the opportunity to express our appreciation to someone else we have to seize it,” SDS Ullalim highlighted when she gave her message.

She also gave her appreciation to the retiree (Pooten) for his contributions in the department. SDS Ullalim expressed her amazement to the installation ceremony since the mass makes it more solemn and serious.

“Thank you very much for making my special day more special and memorable. I didn’t expect this and this is will be the first and the last turn-over ceremony that I will be having since I became a school head,” said Rev. Pooten during his response message. He acknowledged everyone’s presence and emphasized his gratitude to the faculty and the stakeholder for their support to the programs and activities of the school.

Rev. Constancio Naoy, Rev. Mardevic Dicdican and Rev. Thomas palpal, Pooten’s colleagues from the clergy of Sagada Deanery, officiated the thanksgiving and installation mass.
