SING MOVE READ systematically teaches the “whole child” to read through brain-based, sensory play activities.

Mastery of any skill requires practice. SING and MOVE to READING makes practice fun! Children look and listen, touch and feel, move and sway to a beat as they learn all the skills necessary for early reading.
“When we repeat, repeat the letters and sounds, the brain remembers, research has found.”
As they sing and move to letter Cc, again and again, their brains form a neuropathway for the letter and sound. They will never forget!

Be sure to follow with:
Hunt for Letter Cc, Chant Letter Cc, and Play Letter Cc.

*Be sure to print Letter C Chant Chart and grab a tapper (marker) so your child can tap along with our friend at the end:) https://i.postimg.cc/y6mbh379/Cc.jpg

At SING MOVE READ, we teach the whole child through brain based activities to help ALL children master letter names and sounds.

The three pillars of brain-based learning are frequency and duration, intensity, and engagement. A disinterested child cannot learn.

We use the Chant Chart to ENGAGE the whole child. They use their bodies to the move, clap, tap, and snap letter names and sounds 4 times (FREQUENCY/DURATION) along with Teacher Melanie.

INTENSITY comes as we add the next letter of the alphabet, and the next.

Happy Learning, Happy Child!

“Big A, big A. What do you see? I see straight lines. 1, 2 3!
Little a, little a. I’m looking at you. A circle and a straight line. How do you do?”

SEARCH, SAY, PRODUCE. Research shows that searching for a letter in text, repeating its name, and producing it (see Play Letter A) accelerates mastery.
Help your child find the big A's and little a's on our alligator friend. Littles (2 - 3 yrs.) can simply make a mark on the letter. Or scribble wildly if they' like. It all strengthens fine motor skills:)

The goal is stress free and fun. PreKs and Kinders may want to trace the letters and/or color the alligator.
A little Classical A along the way ("Carmen" by Bizet) keeps the brain focused on the task at hand. Encourage your child to sing along. What children learn to music they never forget!

We hope your children enjoyed our video.
My name is name is Teacher Melanie and I’m here to teach your little
ones to read. SING and MOVE to READING is brain-based and systematic,
so no matter your child's learning curve or interest level, he/she WILL learn.

I’ll explain more about the program along the way. For now, all you need to do is include our
songs and activities in your child’s daily routine. It will be fun and engaging learning for them
since, as research shows, Play IS the work of childhood.

SING and MOVE to READ is proven in both homes AND mainstream, special ED
and ESL classrooms around the world. And more recently, and worldwide,
we find ourselves teaching our children from home. So, we’re working as
fast as we can to get our “program in action” videos up to support you.
