Had great fun with the Miami County Quilters Guild yesterday! We were in the Paola Community Center’s historic 300-seat auditorium. Paola Community Center

Hello everyone.

I have a special request from my friends in Ukraine. I left Paducah early this morning to travel home. I never saw this fiber artwork there, but it should be hanging at the show, a
nd I am very sorry I did not see it. If you are still there and see it, could you please take some
pictures and post them for me? Please tag me if you do.

Here is the heartbreaking story of this piece... this is from Natalya Lashko after I posted pictures of her pieces there.

“Dear Rhonda! You made us very happy!!! Thank you very much! but I have a request, can you find this job? It hides the plight of my friends... This camouflage jacket of my friend's brother-in-law. Today is six months since he died in this terrible war. (He gave a jacket when he was at their house last spring). And the embroidered drawings are drawings by his daughters, 5 and 7 years old. Now this blanket has incredible meaning for the family.”

Let’s help them celebrate his life by sharing pictures of it at the Paducah show. Thank you in advance.
