MPHS Saliskote organized a vibrant and engaging Welcome Day Program today, March 24, 2025, filled with a variety of events under the diligent supervision of Ms. Faiza Naaz. The event saw a significant participation of students, fostering enthusiasm and camaraderie across the school campus.

The program began with the morning assembly, where the Principal of MPHS Saliskote warmly welcomed all students. In his address, he encouraged the students to be honest, hardworking, and focused on target-based education. He also delivered a thought-provoking speech on the crucial topic of "De-addiction, Drugs, and Substance Abuse," highlighting the importance of staying away from harmful substances and focusing on a healthy, productive life.

The school campus was beautifully decorated by the school staff under the guidance of Mr. Nasir Malik and Mr. Ahmad Sir, setting a colorful and festive tone for the day.

The event was organized by Mr. Mohd Ali Sir, Vice Principal of MPHS Saliskote, in collaboration with Ms. Maryam Ma'am and Ms. Kaneez Fatima Ma'am. Their collective efforts ensured that a wide range of activities were conducted, with maximum student participation. From games to performances, the day was filled with joy and excitement.

The program concluded with the distribution of sweets among all students, a gesture of celebration and togetherness.

Youth Empowerment Organisation Concluded Five Days Techno-Entrepreneurship Skills Training in Robotics at MPHS Saliskote.

Saliskote, February 1, 2025: The Youth Empowerment Organisation has successfully completed a five-day Techno-Entrepreneurship Skills Training Program in Robotics at Mutahhary Public High School (MPHS) Saliskote, Kargil, under the Nature Program. This initiative targets students of classes 9 and 10, aiming to equip them with essential technological knowledge and entrepreneurial skills in the fast-evolving field of robotics.

Under the leadership of the Hon'ble Councillor of Saliskote, Mr. Sajjad Khan, this program strives to inspire youth towards innovation and practical learning. His commitment to empowering the younger generation through skill development has been widely acknowledged. The training program emphasizes both robotics principles and entrepreneurial thinking, preparing students for future opportunities in the tech industry.

The event featured expert trainers who led hands-on sessions and interactive activities, providing the students with a solid foundation in robotics and fostering their problem-solving skills. The program’s entrepreneurial focus encouraged students to think creatively and develop solutions with real-world applications.

At the concluding session, Hon’ble Councillor Mr. Sajjad Khan expressed his dedication to creating opportunities for youth, highlighting the importance of fostering a generation equipped for a technology-driven future. He said, "This initiative is a step towards preparing our students for a future driven by technology and innovation. It is essential to provide them with opportunities to explore their potential and contribute meaningfully to society."

The training program concluded today, on February 1, 2025, with enthusiasm from students, parents, and educators. It has been seen as a significant milestone in bridging the gap between traditional education and hands-on skills, ensuring that students are ready to face the challenges of the modern world.

At the end of the program, certificates were distributed to all participants. The Principal of MPHS Saliskote, Mr. Mohd Abudojana, extended his sincere gratitude to Mr. Sajjad Khan for his support in organizing the workshop and thanked the trainers and organizers for making the event a success.

One-Day Exposure Tour of MPHS Saliskote Teaching Staff to Govt. Middle School Karith, Shargole

On November 19, 2024, the teaching staff of the Pre-Primary, Primary, and Senior Sections of MPHS Saliskote undertook an insightful exposure tour to the Government Middle School at Karith. The visit was organized to provide the teachers with a firsthand experience of innovative teaching practices and the well-maintained facilities at the school.

The tour was guided by the Headmaster of Government Middle School Karith, Mr. Mohd Ali, who recently received the prestigious National Award of P.M. Shree. Mr. Ali introduced the teachers to the unique structure of the classrooms at his school, which are designed to be subject-specific, such as Science Rooms, Math Rooms, Language Rooms, and Social Studies Rooms. This approach allows for focused and specialized teaching in each subject area.

The teaching methodology at Govt. Middle School Karith stood out for its emphasis on practical learning. The classrooms were equipped with a wide range of Teaching Learning Materials (TLM) relevant to the respective subjects. The school also featured three-dimensional models and other educational resources, which provided an engaging and hands-on learning experience for students.

In addition, the school boasted a well-stocked library with an extensive range of books, ensuring students had access to a wealth of knowledge. Younger students benefited from a well-equipped playroom and a specially designed Kindergarten room, which was also furnished with TLM and essential learning materials.

One of the most impressive aspects of the school was its unique attendance system, where students were identified by scientific names, verbs, or adjectives instead of traditional roll numbers. This creative system not only enhanced students’ vocabulary but also promoted greater learning engagement.

The school’s environment was truly exceptional, with vibrant, well-decorated classrooms and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere that encouraged both learning and personal growth. The school’s staff, under the leadership of Mr. Mohd Ali, demonstrated a remarkable level of cooperation and dedication in making Govt. Middle School Karith a model institution for others in the district to emulate.

Moreover, Mr. Ali’s innovative approach to water conservation was a highlight of the visit. He designed an artificial glacier to address the water scarcity issue in the region, a project that won him the first prize in an All-India competition in Delhi a few years ago.

The exposure tour was highly beneficial for the MPHS Saliskote teaching staff, who left with a wealth of new ideas and innovative teaching practices to implement in their own school. The staff gained valuable insights into how to create a more engaging and efficient learning environment for their students.

The visit concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Mohd Abudojana, Principal of MPHS Saliskote, who expressed gratitude to Mr. Mohd Ali for his warm hospitality and for sharing his school's successful practices. Before departing, a group photo session was held, and the MPHS Saliskote teaching staff returned to Saliskote at around 3:30 p.m.

Saliskote, October 29, 2024 – In an initiative to connect students with the rich cultural heritage of their region, Mutharry Public High School, Saliskote, organized an inspiring historical tour to Karchaikhar and Skangkung on October 29, 2024. Led by Principal Mr. Abu Dujana, who conducted a motivating flag march to start the tour, the event also saw Social Science teacher Mr. Mohd Younus accompanying the students, guiding them through sites of historical and cultural significance.
The tour included a visit to Karchaikhar Chamba, a historical monument celebrated for its cultural importance. Students further explored the Riyal Khatoon Tomb and the Tomb of Akhone Shareef, gaining insights into the architectural and spiritual heritage of the area.
One of the highlights was a stop at the Museum in Skangkung, where students had the chance to view artifacts from the past, deepening their understanding of local history through tangible connections to their Social Science curriculum. The museum's exhibits provided a window into the lifestyles, tools, and artistry of earlier generations, fostering a renewed appreciation for local heritage among the students.

MPHS Saliskote Students Gain Insight into Aquaculture at Khachan Fishery Point, Kargil

Kargil, Ladakh – The 9th-grade students of MPHS Saliskote recently embarked on an educational tour to the Khachan Fishery Point, aimed at enhancing their understanding of fish farming and local aquaculture practices. Under the guidance of their science teacher, Madam Maqsooma, the visit provided a valuable hands-on learning experience.

The tour began with an informative session on the significance of fish farming in the Ladakh region, highlighting its role in supporting local livelihoods and ensuring food security. Students explored the facility, observing the rearing of Rainbow trout in controlled environments and learning about essential techniques in fish breeding and sustainable aquaculture practices.

Madam Maqsooma emphasized the importance of connecting theoretical knowledge to practical applications, noting that such experiences enrich students' understanding of biological sciences. She also highlighted the need for environmental conservation in Ladakh’s unique aquatic ecosystems.

Students actively engaged during the visit, asking insightful questions and demonstrating a keen interest in the aquaculture processes. This exposure tour not only enhanced their knowledge but also fostered a deeper appreciation for environmental conservation efforts in the region.
