ANNOUNCEMENT: From December 2021, Training-by-Eos will no longer operate as an ICAEW Case Study tuition provider.
Neil, Sarah and the rest of the Training-by-Eos team would like to thank every one of their alumni, markers, exam writers and tuition partners who made running Training-by-Eos such an enjoyable experience for so long.
We recommend that students wishing to prepare for the Case Study exam in 2022 and beyond contact First Intuition. The Training-by-Eos team have worked closely with First Intuition for many years and have been consistently impressed by their knowledge and dedication to student success.
We would like to thank every ICAEW Case Study student who has attended a Training-by-Eos tuition programme, signed up to our blog or purchased our exam material. Our 100% satisfaction rating remains the statistic we are proudest of, and it was a pleasure to play a small role at the start of your career as a Charted Accountant.

ICAEW Case Study Exam FREE Course: Mastering scepticism
The ICAEW Case Study exam is unlike any of the exams you have sat to date. Up to now, you have been demonstrating your technical knowledge and understanding of accounting principles. The Case Study requires you to apply that knowledge and provide advice on complex business issues as a written report.
But here’s the thing…
Writing a full report, that hits all the key points, provides sound business advice and is structured as the exam requires – in just 4 hours – is tough.
In our experience of working with the Case Study since 1999, and evidenced by the July 2021 Examiners' Report, there are 3 key areas that Case Study students often struggle with:
Assumptions
Professional Scepticism
Commercial Discussion
This is why we have created a FREE course for all ICAEW Case Study students on Mastering Scepticism and Discussion in the ICAEW Case Study Exam.
In this free course, using videos and material produced for our Complete Case Study Preparation Course, Neil uses extracts from a Mock Exam based on the November 2021 Advance Information to demonstrate exactly what the examiners expect from you.
Sign up now and build your confidence in demonstrating professional scepticism and discussion.

Rest and recovery as part of your ICAEW Case Study exam preparation
This time next week the Advance Information would have been released and you will be getting to grips with the Case Study business.
How is your study plan looking? Have you remembered to schedule in some breaks too - no work, no study, just some time to relax and unwind?
Take a look at this week's blog to understand the importance of rest and recovery as part of your exam preparation.

Boosting your ICAEW Case Study exam confidence
Stamina, endurance, call it what you like; the important thing is to acknowledge that you need to build it up. The ICAEW Case Study exam is 4 hours long!
Four hours of reading, business analysis, evaluating the numbers and then writing a report under severe exam stress. That is a long time to focus in one sitting without a break and is not something we typically do in our working lives.
It takes practice.
Take a look at our top tips for helping build your stamina ready for November.
