For today’s we would like to give a big shout out to Ms. Wang, who has been recognized as 2024 Connecticut Affiliate NCWIT Aspirations in Computing Educator Award Honorable Mention.

This award is conferred upon educators who have demonstrated a commitment to encouraging young women’s aspirations in computing.

Young women represent a promising source of technical talent, yet are woefully underrepresented in computing. Great educators are one of the most important factors in inspiring young women to engage with technology in meaningful ways and pursue technical careers. We thank you for all you have done to make computing a reality and we look forward to seeing your students among our Award applicants and recipients for years to come.

This is truly a noteworthy accomplishment for Ms. Wang. We appreciate all of her hard work in ensuring that students get opportunities to expand their learning, specifically with her work over the past year in getting certified as an HCC adjunct professor and is currently teaching a course getting our students working towards CompTIA A+ certifications.

Empower Creativity! Support our MakerSpace by ordering delicious cookie dough or the chance to win a $100 gift card.
