• I choose incorruptibility over corruptibility.
• Stepping up spiritual commitment.
• Vanquish before you are vanquished, overcome before you are overcome, demolish before you are demolished, lay hold of before you are laid hold of, render powerless before you are rendered powerless, pe*****te before you are pe*****ted, scatter before you are scattered, pull down before you are pulled down, tear apart before you are torn apart, destroy before you are destroyed, claim before you are claimed, possess before you are possessed, confront before you are confronted, dispossess before you are dispossessed, displace before you are displaced, isolate/separate before you are isolated/separated, disempowering before you are disempowered ; safeguard, watch, defend, advance, renew, share and protect spiritual treasures. This is what I refer to as the art of spiritual warfare.
• “And from the days of John the Baptist until now the Kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.” Matthew 11:12
• “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.” 2 Corinthians 10:3
• “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:12

• Life is full of choices. I have decided to choose simplicity over complexity, humility over exaltation, righteousness over wickedness, truth over lies, uprightness over crookedness, cool-headedness over hot-headedness, life over death, prayer over prayerlessness, God-centeredness over world-centeredness, purity over impurity/filthiness, …
• Which choices have you decided to pursue?
• Jesus said “And whoever exalts himself will be abased, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.” Matthew 23:12

• Though we are operating in an increasingly insurmountable time pressure, let us stand up for Jesus.
• The devil is very happy whenever we are occupied with anything else other than truly godly matters.
• Once one decides to stand up for Jesus then the real confrontation begins between the Kingdom of God and the power of darkness.
• Joshua said “Now therefore, fear the LORD, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt. Serve the LORD! And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” Joshua 24:14-15
• The response was that they would serve the LORD. What would be your response?

• The whole world is in spiritual retrogression of some sort. Comfort, complacency, compromise, conformity, complicity as well indifference are increasingly putting people off the right spiritual path. Gary Skinner, the senior pastor of Watoto Church, has been mentioned in human organ trafficking. Denovo bread and confectionaries which are linked to self-styled prophet Kakande, are mixed with human blood.
• The church must style up and regain its exemplary position or else it becomes increasingly irrelevant in the ever increasing complex world.
• In my address to seminarians of Apostles of Jesus in their seminary in Karen, Langata, Nairobi, Kenya in 2006 I paused the question “Is God relevant in the contemporary world?”

• Neither are we in political nor military trenches, rather we are spiritual trenches. Once the spiritual battle or better still spiritual warfare is won, then other battles will follow suit. Likewise, once the spiritual battle is lost then many other battles will be lost as well.

• Responsibility leads to maturity.
• Becoming a good time manager. Becoming good at managing time. Time management is probably the highest form of discipline. Once you succeed to effectively manage time, you will be bound to manage many other things. The reverse is likewise true; once you fail to effectively manage time, you will be bound to miserably fail in managing many other things. In other words, effective time managers are excellent managers and poor time managers are disastrous managers.

• Many political global scholars will agree with me that Uganda is rapidly sliding into a failed state. If the justification fronted by the then guerilla leader Yoweri Museveni in February 1981 to launch a rebel movement against the democratic government of the then president Apollo Milton Obote that there was rigging in the December 1980 elections, was true; then, as a nation, we have gone full circle. The time would not be rifer for a similar rebellion to be launched than now.
• If the assertion by Yoweri Museveni in Janaury 1986 while being sworn in as the president of Uganda upon capturing state power that the problem of African leaders is overstaying in power is true now, as it was then; then the very bug of longevity has caught up with him.
• The then head of state, Field Marshall Idi Amin Dada, claimed life presidency; yet he ruled for only eight years. With Yoweri Museveni being in power for thirty years and still counting, he may, after all, be the one to realize the dream that the man who feared no one but God, as Amin equated himself to, failed to realize.
• At this juncture, let me pause to salute Jose Edwardo dos Santos, the second longest serving president on the African continent after Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbagoso of Equatorial Guinea; both African strong men having served their countries since 1979. The Angolan head of state stated clearly a few days back that he will be stepping aside from the reign and reins of power.
• The current inspector general of police in Uganda, Lieutenant General Kale Kayihura, is the face of the regime. He is the new kid on the block. He is the blue-eyed boy. He is the equivalent of the then permanent secretary for ministry of defense, the late Noble Mayombo. He manifests what the regime is: brutal. If the assertions alluded to him that he is ready for the International Criminal Court and that he respects no law, are true, then Uganda is truly on the path to a failed state.
• “Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men, even when they exercise influence and not authority, still more when you superadd the tendency or the certainty of corruption by authority.” Lord Acton
• “The world will not be destroyed by those who do evil, but by those who watch them without doing anything.” Albert Einstein
• The above is a purely academic viewpoint put together from the academic hill of Makerere in the pearl of Africa, Uganda.

• Lamenting, condemning, being sorrowful and keeping quiet are the four forms open to anyone to choose from in regard to the prevailing political atmosphere in Uganda. I am in a mournful state. Whereas our motto says “For God and my country,” many people have resorted to the fulfillment of their selfish interests with total disregard to the interests of others. Selfish interests are detrimental to the majority. Whereas the country is bleeding due to corruption and mismanagement, some people are amassing power and wealth by uncouth and primitive means. They are serving the devil either knowingly or unknowingly.
• The regime that is causing our beloved country to collapse must itself collapse. Mine is a prophetic call. I am not calling for rebellion or mass uprising as it was the case with the Arab Spring. I am calling for spiritual movement with the sole purpose of restoration to the foundations. I am calling for unified, concerted, unceasing and relentless prayer. Prayer changes things. Let us pray until something happens (PUSH).
• “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this dark age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:12
• “If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?” Psalms 11:3

• If the Field Marshal Idi Amin Dada’s reign was a time when Uganda was in dark days, then we are now in darker days. Our country needs regime change, no matter how long it may take. More voices for change must be sounded to challenge the status quo. Archbishop Janani Luwum paid with his own life for the world to realize that Uganda then actually needed change. I salute the likes of Dr Warren Kizza Besigye, General David Sejusa, Bishop Zac Niringiye, Norbert Mao, Major General Mugisha Muntu, Dr John Olara Otunnu, John Patrick Amama Mbabazi, Nandala Mafabi, John Livingstone Okello Okello, Salaamu Musumba, Cecilia Ogwal, Ingrid Turinawe, Beatrice Anywar, Betty Namboze and many others who have stood up against the devil’s temple that has been so much entrenched in the last thirty years. I like Norbert Mao’s dictum that fish starts rotting from the head. The current government is completely rotten in and out. Another of Norbert Mao’s dictum is equally applicable and relevant. It states that even the best dancer has to leave the floor. The National Resistance Movement government has overstayed in power and because of that it has become completely immersed in power and totally intoxicated with it. Since the head of state has completely refused to relinquish power through civilized and peaceful means, he might leave the reigns of the state through forceful route. Why can we not learn from contemporary political history? What happened to Field Marshal Idi Amin Dada, Field Marshal Mobuto Sese Seko wa Zabanga, Saddam Hussein, Colonel Muamar Gadafi, Sergeant Samuel Doe of Liberia and many others who failed to accurately read the moods and the times? History really repeats itself. Though their desires were denied, the past voting pattern has shown that more and more Ugandans are becoming enlightened. Enlightened people are very difficult to deal with. That is why people in leading urban centres normally give the head of state a lot of headache.
• Are you a voice for change? It so then this is the time to stand up and let your position known. Stop burying your head in the ash (Lwo proverb). Another Lwo saying is that the one who is fearful should return to the mother’s womb.

• I have been perturbed by unfolding events. Top of the list is the murder of a Ugandan girl in Saudi Arabia and the confession by another girl that a soda bottle was inserted in her private parts.
• Closely following is the coup de tat by Yoweri Museveni to replace Yoweri Museveni using Badru Kiggundu as the mouthpiece. It was clearly revealed to me months before 18 February election robbery that Yoweri Museveni is not worth propping. Uganda as a country is experiencing political darkness. Political corruption is at an unimaginable level.
• Third is the rise in the number of fake street preachers. A young man at Makerere University preached that salvation does not require working for it. This totally contradicted scripture that says “Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to work on behalf of his good pleasure.” Philippians 2:12-13
• Fourth is the issue of spiritual pretenders rather than contenders. “Judith Babirye desserts God” headline did not surprise me. The light of God is simply exposing works of darkness in her just as it was with the likes of Robert Kayanja, Imelda Namutebi, Kakande, Kiwewesi, Yiga and many others. They are devil’s disciples. They are wolves in sheep skin. Hell fire awaits them. God cannot be mocked. “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows in the flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” Galatians 6:7-9
• Join me by becoming a vanguard of righteousness, defender of the faith, upholder of truth and a mover in step with the Spirit.

• I must turn my back to the world. As long as the world sees my front then I am a friend of the world and an enemy of God. Friendship with the world means enmity towards God.
• “Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.” James 4:4
• Workers of iniquity are restless and tireless whereas soldiers of the cross are deep asleep. When I read how the Ugandan girls in Saudi Arabia are fed on human faeces, my heart collapsed. Instead of defecating in a toilet/latrine, one decides to so in another’s mouth. I have seen those who willingly feed on human excreta (feaces and urine) meaning that they are spiritually dead though physically alive. Forcing someone to do is beyond my imagination. It is horrific, inhumane, disturbing, devastating, horrendous, and dehumanizing.
• Some of our girls have been strangled. Some have been infected with HIV. I may compare what is taking place to our girls in Saudi Arabia to the holocaust meted on the Jews in the concentration camps in Germany by Adolf Hi**er during the Second World War. Persecution of unimaginable dimension and magnitude.
• I must be on the move for Christ. Will you join me?

• Wickedness is rapidly on the rise and the love of many is growing cold. This is the time for the true followers of Christ to stand up.
• Jesus said “And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end will be saved.” Matthew 24:12-13
• The Son of Man further said “But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that day come on you unexpectedly. For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.” Luke 21:34-36
• Let me cite just two instances where wickedness of unimaginable magnitude is unfolding. The first one is the horrific conditions maids from Uganda and elsewhere have gone through in Saudi Arabia. Specifically, is the devastating confession by a Uganda girl that she had s*x with a dog for six hours. The second is what I refer to as high powered or high voltage corruption cases. Stella Akech, my relative, told me that the chairman for District Service Commission for Apac demanded one million five hundred thousand shillings in order for her to secure a job. Another person told me that the human resource manager of Infectious Diseases Institute demands for two million shillings to secure a job. Yet another lady told me that to secure a backdoor vacancy at St Mary’s College, Kisubi; a bribe of two million shillings is demanded. Last night, a female friend of mine here at Makerere University, told me that her friend bought a place for her son to work with a local government in western Uganda at one million shillings.
• This is the time we expose the works of darkness. Flash me and I call you back or e-mail me to tell me what you know and you feel that you cannot no longer keep it to yourself. +256772826955, +256752826955, [email protected]

• Corruption is a bo***ge the whole world has failed to contain. It is morally, socially, politically and economically cancerous. It has engulfed the whole world. It is the evil way of doing business. It is the devil’s internationally acceptable currency. That is why with many: no corruption, no business/transaction. They only advance due to corruption. For those on the extreme: no corruption, no life.
• “For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it in hope; because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bo***ge of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.” Romans 8:20-21
• Corruption has become the immoral fibre of many: completely rotten with unbearable stench.
• Corruption has become the o***m of the people.
• Corruption cuts like a double edged sword; affecting the giver and the receiver alike.
• Corruption is not only contaminative. It is highly poisonous as well.
• Corruption is extremely bitter yet sugar-coated.
• Corruption is devouring us.
• Corruption must be confronted. It must be fought. It must be resisted. It must be dealt with individually and institutionally. Not only must its back be broken. It must be stumped out. No effort must be spared in getting rid of corruption.
• I have launched a global campaign against corruption. Will you join me in the fight against contamination of humanity?
• You can join the war against the monster by sharing this post with as many people as possible around the world.

• There is need for every Christian to style up his/her walk in the Lord.
• Instead of blaming others for the mess around us, it would be better for each one of us to critically and realistically examine himself/herself to gauge whether he/she is really standing firm in the Lord.
• Jesus said “Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgement you judge, you will be judged; and with the same measure you use, it will be measured back to you. And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye. Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces.” Matthew7:1-6
• Apostle Paul wrote to the Corinthians “Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.” 1 Corinthians 10:12
• Take time to read a portion of Apostle Paul’s letter to the church in Ephesus. “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armour of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having guarded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints-and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.” Ephesians 6:10-20

• The whole world is looking for authentic Christianity and this calls for rising up.
• “For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.” Romans 8:19

• Sanctuary of holiness. Prayer alters. They must not be defiled.
• Becoming a spiritual hermit.
• Becoming radical and combative for Christ.
• Will becoming confrontational be on the extreme?
• What of becoming violent for Christ and the Kingdom of God?
• Jesus Himself said “And from the days of John the Baptist until now the Kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.” Matthew 11:12
• Being in a spiritual class while in spiritual glass versus being in a spiritual class while being prone of attacks due to lack of spiritual protective gear.
• Being reactionary.
• What of being retaliatory?
• There is need for spiritual awakening for the fostering of the advancement of the gospel of Christ.
• Let us rise and shine for Christ.
• Background: The rise of Islam should worry Christians. It is the fastest spreading world religion yet it is of the devil. The converts are predominantly Christians. The Muslims are rapidly using the god of this world, money, to accomplish their wicked agenda. The Christians are the victims. The Christians are either knowingly or ignorantly being used in the accomplishment of the wicked agenda. Even our central bank has been pe*****ted with Islamic banking. The business community and politics are also being pe*****ted by the Muslims. Mosques and assembling places are on the rise in urban and business centres and most Christians are not bothered. Yet it is a well planned strategy to Islamize the whole world. Just observe how the Muslims front their own for elective positions. They well know that once you control politics and business then you will dominate the whole world.
• Both the lord mayor of Kampala and the member of parliament for Kampala Central are Muslims and it is the Christians who mainly voted them in. Wicked men are fully in charge of the gates of our country. What an imaginable level of complacency!
• Apostle Paul wrote “O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed among you as crucified? This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of the faith? Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh?” Galatians 3:1-3
• Operating in the flesh is not only dangerous. It is misleading as well. We must get out of it if we are to live for God. Instead, we must be filled with the Holy Spirit.
• Jesus said “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” John 6:63

• Spiritual bo***ge is another form of severe enslavement.
• Part of Jesus’ mandate/mission was spiritual freedom.
• “The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent Me to heal the broken-hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to preach the acceptable year of the LORD.” Luke 4:18-19
• The fundamental question here is: are you in spiritual bo***ge or freedom?

• Poverty is the worst form of enslavement. Everything must be done by everyone everywhere to get out of it. Hate poverty with passion.

• Kingdom mandate. Kingdom assignment. Kingdom responsibility. Kingdom engagement. Kingdom matters. Will you accomplish them?
• Are you a part of the Kingdom?
• Are you an heir of the Kingdom?
• Are you on the move for the Kingdom?
• Will you ever arise for the Kingdom?

• Tame the flesh. Once you fail to tame the flesh then you will become a spiritual dead meat. The demons will start feasting on you. The devil will be in the steering wheel.
• Operating in the flesh is walking in spiritual darkness.
• Instead of pinpointing at others, let each one of us genuinely confess our sins to God and wholeheartedly return to Him.
• None of us upright before the LORD. We all have faults, failures and weaknesses/shortcomings.
• “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” Romans 3:23
• Purpose to be on the move for Christ. Lift up His banner.

• God is interested in each and every one of us and His desire is that none of us should perish.
• “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

• There is nothing good that can come from any cultural activity. Traditional marriages, last funeral rites, initiations, traditional male circumcision, female ge***al mutilation, dances, and others. The activities always go hand-in-hand with works of darkness such as drunkenness and s*xual immorality. There are even cases that involve witchcraft. The problem with these cultural activities is that they normally appease evil spirits thus they end up displeasing God.

• Commitment to a cause.
• Poverty: a strong indication that resources in general and time in particular, are not being put into good use. People and land are some of the other vital resources. Electricity, roads and water are other key resources. If they could be put into proper use, there would be a marked improvement in living standards. Just look at how rich Egypt is as it makes full use of water from River Nile.
• Departure from less serious things and engaging in more serious things would help.
• Courage is also an important consideration. Without it one may fail to move forward to realize tangible progress.
• The mindset must as well shift/change. It has to be positive and forward-looking; not of lamentations and procrastination/postponement.
• Without economic empowerment and vibrancy, it is a question of time before we become social, economic and political slaves. This is the crux/reality of the matter: a state whereby you take whatever you are offered regardless of what you have accomplished, due to no bargaining power. This is what I refer to as the exploitative economy. Economics of exploitation would thrive.
• For illustration purpose; whereas the governor of Bank of Uganda earns UGX 50,000,000, an average maid in Kampala earns UGX 50,000. Thus the central bank boss earns 1,000 times what an average maid earns. Put another way, the maid has to work for 1,000 months or 83.3 years in order to earn what the governor earns in one month. The maid, due to no bargaining power, is not only being denied but also being robbed of a descent future. This modern day slavery is what I refer to as black disempowerment because it is carried out by blacks against fellow blacks.
• I denounce the maltreatment meted out to the voiceless.

• When the LORD God intervenes in your situation; you will experience shifts from chaos to order, from disappointment to satisfaction, from despair to hope, from defeat to victory, from crying to laughter, from gloom/grief to joy, from failure to success, from disorganization to organization, from mediocrity to meritocracy and from curses to blessings.
• “But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31
• Therefore, I encourage you to wait upon the LORD. It will never be in vain. It will not be a wasted effort. It will be very enriching and rewarding spiritually and otherwise. Will you?
• Character of Jesus Christ: humility, praying and fasting, focused, commitment/dedication, compassionate/considerate, Spirit-filled, mission-driven, God-led, caring, loving, among others.
• Every genuine Christian, without exception, must have/possess the character of Christ.
• In pursuit of righteousness. Different people pursue different things. What are you pursuing? Is it wealth/affluence, recognition/status, influence, or something else? Pursue righteousness.
• Be at the front in your zeal to fight/overcome/restraint the flesh. Do not merely stop at talking/writing about it. Act likewise.

• The flesh can demand for more like Oliver Twist but as you fulfil its demand, it seeks to destroy you.
• Regardless of what you feed the flesh on, it feeds you with poison in return. It is the enemy within. It will fight you tooth and nail.
• All the problems we have at all levels in the world originate from the heart and result from the failure to control the flesh. Be it at personal/individual, family/household, society/community, regional, national and global/international level. Just take your time to think about it.
• For illustration/demonstration purpose, let each of the enemies: the flesh, the world and the devil; be in the form of a snake. I liken the flesh to a person sharing a bed with a snake. What will the snake do to you when you just lie on it without first killing it? In this case displacement is not possible. There are only two options available: either killing it or lying on it.
• The world and the devil can be likened to a snake in the same house in which one lives. They still must be got rid of for safety to be ensured.
• Displace the flesh from the self. Do not allow it to reign over the self. The self is the total/whole person made of components such as the heart, mind, soul, spirit, body, strength, emotions/reactions/responses, and intellect/reasoning.
• Jesus said “As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” John 9:5
• Likewise, as long as I am in tune/alignment with the Spirit, I will feed you with spiritual food.
• You therefore pray for me not to detach myself from the Spirit so that I avail myself to be of use by God. Whenever I am silent, you need to step up your prayers for me. It would mean that I am either under attack or experiencing a hindrance that must be overcome.
• I desire to ever be connected to God. I desire to have a strong connection with Him.
• By the way, it is purely upon you to either activate or deactivate the flesh. It is upon you to allow it to keep its head either above or below the waters. Should you allow it to keep its head above the waters, then you will be in trouble. You are only safe and secure once you keep its head below the waters.
• In short, restraint and overcome the flesh at all times. Never allow it to overcome you.
