Mrs. Schlesinger is a proud graduate of the University of Nebraska - Lincoln and has 11 years of experience in education. She will be joining the team at James A. Arthur Early Childhood Center as a first grade teacher!

She's looking forward to teaching in the school district she lives in and becoming more involved in her community!

📍 Location: JAA ECC Cafeteria

We’ll have engaging activities for you to participate in and showcase fun, hands-on ways you can support your student’s learning at home. There will be both ELAR and Math activities to explore.

We’re excited to welcome Mathnasium of Mansfield—they’re amazing and will be bringing interactive math activities you can do at home with your student!

We’ll also have a limited number of manipulatives available for you to take home, so please be sure to arrive on time.

Teachers and administrators will be available to answer any questions you may have about our curriculum, as well as share simple, everyday strategies to support your child’s learning journey.

We can’t wait to see you there!

Hello JAA ECC Parents!

Get ready for an exciting and busy week ahead! Here’s everything you need to know:

📅 Monday – Grandparents Day!

If you signed up for a Fast Pass, it was placed in your student’s folder on Friday. If not—no worries! Grandparents can still join for lunch on other days by using our Luncheon RSVP on Parent Square.
They’re also welcome to shop with their grandchild at the Book Fair from 9:00 – 11:00 AM.
📚 Tuesday – Thursday – Book Fair Fun!

Parents, you’re invited to shop with your child during their scheduled library time. (See attached schedule for details.)
🏫 Thursday – Open House & Book Fair Night 4:30 - 6:00!!

Doors open at 4:25 PM in the Cafeteria for a short Spring Annual Title 1 Meeting. (Front doors will remain closed until after the meeting.)
Then, head over to your child’s classroom to visit with their teacher.
Don’t forget to stop by the Book Fair—it will be open all evening!

First grade went to the Perot Museum!! They came back exhausted which is a great clue that they had a wonderful time!! Thank you chaperones and thank you Perot for making us feel welcomed and in awe!
