Dear Cubs - I’ve discovered that completing tasks at 3:00 in the morning does not prove fruitful for me. I thought when I started reposting in Chrys’ Pride, it was the group I started in 2020. However, it turns out it was a “page” I had played with before the group was officially formed. Therefore, if you’d like an invitation to join the group Chrys’ Pride which is private at this moment in time, message me on FB or instagram. Sorry for the “roaring” confusion. My intention was there, just not the skill set to make it happen without a few hiccups. I pray this forum will be a blessing for all of us to grow, learn, connect, encourage and please Him! Until next time….💜💙🙏🏻🦁
Chrys' Pride
My 2020 journey to reflect on experiences, relationships, and His calling for my life is underway. This page will help us stay connected.
I am going away to give thanks, reflect, renew and be ready for what God has planned for me.

“A day late and a dollar short?” Not on God’s watch! Let’s pray:
Heavenly Father - Thank You for being our One and Only God. Through You all things are possible! Lord, rush to all who need You at this very minute and bless them with people and resources that only You can provide. Shower them with love, strength and freedom! You know their names. They are on our hearts. Lift them up with Your mighty and healing hand to bring them closer to you. Right here, right now. They may be strangers to us, but not to You. Thank you for loving us and breathing life into us. We ask that You do what You are “Famous For!” We believe in You! Amen 💜💙🙏🏻🦁

Good morning Pride! Music is one very important form of worship to me. Part of my reflection the past few months was revisiting my Spotify playlists and looking for “common” songs that I’ve been drawn to each year. 2020, which was the original birth of Chrys’ Pride is not listed because I actually created monthly playlists. I was more involved in life as I knew it then. The songs are important and I will be sharing many. However, the takeaway for today is to look at the # of songs (or hours of music) I took the time to save in the last 4 years listed.
2020 - saved by month (Mar-Dec)
2021 - 6 hours 38 minutes
2022 - 3 hours 42 minutes
2023 - 7 minutes
2024 - 3 hours 13 minutes and it’s only February 16th
Boy! If that doesn’t show a pattern of slowly becoming disconnected from community and God, I don’t know what does. I will be happy to share my playlists with you if you have Spotify.
If you have time, watch/listen to my “live” post from March 2020! All things old eventually become new again. 😜
The song I will post is called “Here Again,” by Elevation Worship. Basically, letting you and me know that God will meet you anytime, any place, anywhere to help you fulfill His purpose for you in this life. He has rescued me from myself once again. Let’s pray:
Heavenly Father - Thank you for the gift of music and technology. Help us to set apart a “quiet” part of the day to help us listen for your words and feel the nudges you are giving us. Help us use the tools and resources you have provided to support and re-connect with You and each other.
Today we lift up the victims of the chaos in Kansas City and the people that brought order and helped create a safe place for all. Thank you for the brave citizens and law enforcement officers that acted to prevent others from harm. Be with the family of the 47 year old who was killed. Place your shield of protection and healing over the individuals who remain hospitalized. Blanket those, especially the children, that attended the parade and were afraid and traumatized by the events with peace and consolation. Help our nation’s leaders to find a way to put an end to gun violence. Help our brothers and sisters who are angry, anxious, desperate, or confused to seek out resources and people to assist them and not think that violence, revenge or inflicting pain is the only answer. We love you Lord! Thank you for loving us and rescuing us in all circumstances. In the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen 💜💙🙏🏻🦁

Good morning Pride! Welcome to the 2024 version of Chrys’ Pride! For those of you that were not part of the “Pride” previously, I am a firm believer that God’s hands place us where and when we need to be at any given time. This lioness has been hibernating (although I don’t think lions hibernate 😜) way toooo long! God started stirring things up in me last fall to “start doing something.”
So, with the help of our Heavenly Father, prayer, music, family, friends near and far and the nudge of the Holy Spirit to “awaken” me at 2:33 am this morning to physically “get up” and get started led me to reacquaint myself with the technology piece of Chrys’ Pride. The purpose of the group, (my purpose) is to serve God by encouraging and sharing His love to others through me. After all, He named me WAY before Lloyd and Aldean ever did. He’s probably responsible for the “y” in Chrys which I have learned to love and appreciate! “Chrystal” does have its perks. 😉
The picture of the calendar is a small piece of the “vision” God has for me, and you this year. My goal for 2024 began forming in early December of 2023. Life unfolded and “Voila,” here we are on February 15, 2024. God gave me time to “organize” my thoughts, actions, words and deeds before He commanded me to act. I truly believe His Divine intervention at 2:33 this morning was NOT a coincidence. Why, you may ask and please do. This group is meant to be interactive. Psalms 23:3 “He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name.” Bam! Coincidence? I think not.
I have much to share about the calendar aspect in regard to his timing to have me “re-birth” Chrys’ Pride, but don’t want to overwhelm you the first day back. (Typical teacher/principal comment after an extended break from school.)
With that said, notice that yesterday, February 14th, started with my devotion, an observation of one of my student teachers, a funeral of a neighbor, an endodontist appointment, and church for Ash Wednesday. However, having a cough/laryngitis led me to cancel the dr. appointment and take a nap in the afternoon. The neighbor’s funeral was at Good News Church in Omaha and filled my soul with such hope and joy. God placed me at that funeral to hear His message of peace and purpose sooner than 6:30 pm at Thanksgiving. (Sorry Pastor Billy) One of the deceased person’s brothers spoke these words. “Thomas devoted 10% of his 24 hour day to prayer. Every morning at 5:00 am, he got up to start his day with God. He used his 2 hours and 15 minutes each day to worship, meditate and lift up prayers on behalf of others.” WOW! His brother asked if we could “tithe” 10% of our day? Well, I can! I’m retired. My 10% will come throughout the day via Chrys’ Pride, music, worship, prayer, phone calls, letters, texts and following His timely nudges. Yours and my vocation involves the here and now. Let the day unfold as God intended. Let’s pray.
“Heaveny Father - thank you for this day! The sunshine, the warmth and the word of “reconnecting” that you have placed on my heart and in my mind. May my actions, words and deeds and those of all who read this please you and bring you honor. I’m excited for the “re-birth” of Chrys’ Pride! Help your cubs come to me through YOU for prayer, encouragement, reflection, connection, laughter and love. Forgive us when we fall short of meeting expectations and set us gently back on the path. Today we lift up the Lemon family, Thomas, Millie, Whitney, Tom Jr., Gerald, Charles, Gwendolyn, Claude, Robert, Jim and Suzie M., Lori and Nicholas B., Jeanna, Kylie, Reese and Emily P., Shelley, Will, Dominic, Tara, Debbie, Malak, Calvin, Judi, Chad and Kathy T., Hannah, Nate, Edith, Dirk, Aaron, and Christina. We lift up all those facing uncertainty, fear, illness, loneliness, grief, abuse, anxiety, anger and depression. Please bring all of your children the right people and resources to turn circumstances from darkness into light. We ask these things in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen 💜💙🙏🏻🦁
The continuance of my 2020 journey to reflect on experiences, relationships, and His calling for my life begins today, February 15, 2024. I am going to give thanks, reflect, renew and be ready for what God has planned for me. This page will help us stay connected.

Today is the day…not a coincidence that yesterday was the “beginning of Lent. Explanation coming soon. “roar” 🦁
Good morning Pride - The lioness is coming out of a long hibernation to roar again. Bear with me as I relearn how to make this work.

Ready, set, roar...
Hello fellow lions...welcome to my den! Stay tuned for some rip "roaring" adventures together.
