No, we’re not actually making pizza but😂👀…Jevz did practice and learn more about Diphthongs using this cute pizza and toppings game!🙌🏽🎉🥳

🤔What are diphthongs?
- a sound formed by the combination of two vowels in a single syllable, in which the sound begins as one vowel and moves towards another (as in coin, loud, and side ).
"these are the most common type of diphthong among the languages of the world"

Today’s Update!☀️
Did Someone Say Beans?😀🫘🫛
Jevz beans were planted on December 2nd, 2023🌱
So proud of him!♥️🙌🏽

So we were without electricity for awhile!🔦😩
But we made the best of it!🤗♥️

I told Jevz to put his electronic devices aside to save battery power for awhile🔋and let’s read to pass the time!📚 We read Dutch for approximately 30 minutes (reading, pronouncing, sounding out).☺️ We used our battery operated latern for bright lighting!🏮 We also made jokes with his grandma to pass the time!😍

So it’s day 9 of our observation and Jevz beans have grown taller!🌱😍 His project is due this week, but we’ll continue taking care of his beans!🫘🙏🏽 Jevz has learned that plants needs to be taken very good care of in order for them to grow healthy and strong!♥️🌱

Thanks to his grandma (my mom) for helping us with his project!♥️🙏🏽 She is a gardener as well!🌱🌻

Hey guys, as you know we’ve been quiet but Jevz has been busy with school work, so we paused Homeschool so he can focus with his school work first!🧸

And with this we would like to introduce you all to our AVI Start Dutch Books, that we have now added to our Home Library!😍 Jevz is busy learning about “klanken” and these books are really a joy for reading and practicing.🙏🏽

Please note that I build his lesson plan weekly around his school lessons. This way I make sure everyday is light but is still PRODUCTIVE!✅

Week: October 23rd - October 27th🗓️

Monday:
HS: English/Language: Reading Eggs “et & ed”
(Including, comprehension and vocabulary)
HS: Math: Addition

Tuesday:
HS: English/Language: Sight Words: Unit 18 (learning sight words, and reading comprehension)

Wednesday:
HS: English/Language: Reviewing Consonants
HS: Math: Addition Number Sentences

Thursday:
HS: English/Language: Different Sounds / Digraphs TH, CH, WH, SH

Friday:
HS: English/Language: Word Family: The -ell Family (writing, reading and sentences)
HS: Math: Addition Facts 9-12

Always remember that hardwork and dedication pays off!🙏🏽 💕Jevz took Speech Therapy for 6 months to help him with speaking correctly and to build his Language Core.

We practiced for days to make sure he builds sentences correctly🙌🏽 Today I can proudly say that SPEECH THERAPY works!🙌🏽💕🥳 Jevz scored a 93% for his Presentation!😍 And Yes He Gained All Points for Speaking Clearly!🥳

P.S. We made everything by hand!😍

Homework Advice from my home✏️

If your kids are coming home with a great amount of homework, divide the homework over the days that they have before its due!🤗

Example:
If your child has received homework on Monday and it’s due for Friday, divide it between Monday to Thursday. It helps lower the feeling of being overwhelmed with work!❤️ It also helps when they have to study for Tests!🤗
