I enjoyed being with these amazing Mamas tonight. We ate, did nails, laughed, and shared stories. Unless you have a special needs child you don't know the break these Mamas need. We missed those that couldn't be there and hope you make the next one in March 😊
Special thanks goes to those that helped make it special. (Ruth Price, Casey David, & Glenda Strickland) I also want to thank two special young ladies for keeping the kiddos while their Mamas had some "me" time❤️ (Tori Watson, Ella Philpot)
Would anyone like to help with this event?

At the beginning of January teachers were given the opportunity to conduct mini workshop sessions for fellow teachers. I was fortunate enough to share knowledge about using IEP accommodations for students with disabilities in the Gen. Ed class. ❤️

Skyla is amazing with special needs kids. Contact her if you need a babysitter!

We had a great time talking about sensory spaces tonight and sharing stories about our journeys. We even enjoyed making sensory bottles and sensory bags. This is such a great outlet for us all.
Next one will be February 24! I hope you can make it!

Specially Designed Coaching (SDC) is ready to start filling our calendar. We are a team of three educators (administrator, consultant, teacher) and we're ready to share with others the importance of understanding people with special needs. We're looking forward to helping schools, churches, first responders, and families. You have been invited to this page because you are either a parent, family member, educator, therapist, or business owner and we know you believe in the importance of including all individuals! If you know of a place or group that would benefit from training please comment below or send a FB message.
We're looking forward to seeing acceptance grow!

I'm so excited!! Specially Designed Coaching is now official!!!

I wanted to share an alert card I bought from Amazon that I thought was a great idea. This one is for autistic individuals, but I'm sure they make them for others as well.
We're hoping to do a first responder training in the near future and this would be a great idea for them to see on an emergency call.
Just an idea😊
Happy Tuesday to everyone!! Don't forget about our Sensory Workshop coming up on Thursday, Jan. 27 from 6:30-7:30 @ Dillon Church of God. I'm excited to share some cool ideas with you about how to set up a space in your home to help your child with sensory processing.
The cost of the workshop is free, however, if you need childcare the cost will be $10 per child. I need to know how many may need childcare so I can have workers in place to help.
Thank you all!!!
Please feel free to send invites for this page to people you know that may benefit from it. 2022 is the year to step up and advocate for those special needs.

Workshops and Kids' Day/Night Out will be offered. Permission has been given by Pastor Joe Grice to use Dillon Church of God for these events. Please share this page with others that may benefit.
I look forward to the first parent workshop in January!! Check often for event updates.
