🔥 📣 Today's! 📜 Market Review:

Market focus pivots from trade tensions to upcoming US CPI inflation data:

Here is what you need to know on Tuesday, 15th July:

Markets adopt a cautiously optimistic tone in early European trading on Tuesday, as investors weigh 🇺🇸US President Donald Trump’s latest tariff threats and renewed criticism of Federal Reserve (Fed) Chairman Jerome Powell.

Late Monday, Trump reiterated his disapproval of Powell, stating that interest rates should be at 1% or lower, instead of the current 4.25% to 4.50% range maintained by the Fed this year.

Additionally, Trump threatened to impose severe tariffs on 🇷🇺Russia if President Vladimir Putin fails to reach a peace agreement with Ukraine within 50 days.

🇪🇺🇺🇸EUR/USD is edging higher toward the 1.1700 level, supported by a softer US Dollar across major peers, as markets await fresh developments in trade negotiations between the European Union and the United States.

🇬🇧🇺🇸GBP/USD is advancing toward 1.3450, buoyed by improved risk sentiment that favors the higher-yielding Pound.

🇦🇺🇺🇸AUD/USD remains rangebound around 0.6550, lacking clear directional momentum.

🇳🇿🇺🇸NZD/USD is gradually approaching the psychological 0.6000 mark, posting modest gains on the day.

🇺🇸🇨🇦USD/CAD trades in a tight range near 1.3700, amid renewed weakness in both Oil prices and the US Dollar.

🛢WTI crude is under pressure in early European trading, slipping to $65.73 per barrel from Monday’s close of $65.83. Brent crude is also declining, last seen at $68.42 compared to $68.50 previously.

🥇GOLD is staging a strong rebound, retesting the key 23.6% Fibonacci retracement level of April’s record rally at $3,377, with the daily technical outlook continuing to favor the bulls.

💸Cryptos
Bitcoin (BTC) is experiencing a pullback, trading below $117,000 as traders book profits after recent strong gains. Ethereum (ETH) and Ripple (XRP) are also retreating, down nearly 2% and 4%, respectively, after facing rejection at the key resistance levels of $3,000 and $3.

At the time of writing, BTC is down at $116,793, ETH hovering around $2,980, and XRP trading down at $2.86.

🔥 📣 Today's! 📜 Market Review:

Trade war concerns support US Dollar, Bitcoin hits fresh all-time high:

Here is what you need to know on Monday, 14th July:

A risk-off mood kicks off a busy week, keeping the 🇺🇸US Dollar supported by safe-haven flows amid renewed trade tensions. The US Dollar extends last week’s rebound, with the Dollar Index holding firm above 98.00 — its highest level since June 25. Meanwhile, US Equity Futures are up around 0.60%.

President Trump threatened 30% tariffs on EU and Mexican imports starting August 1. In response, the EU extended its suspension of countermeasures but warned it is ready with EUR21 billion in retaliatory tariffs if talks fail.

Meanwhile, Trump reignited criticism of Fed Chair Powell, suggesting he should step down, while White House adviser Kevin Hassett hinted at possible grounds for his removal.

🇪🇺🇺🇸EUR/USD hovers near two-week lows around 1.1650 in early European trade Monday, pressured by rising US-EU trade tensions.

🇬🇧🇺🇸GBP/USD extends its pullback near 1.3450, as the risk-sensitive Pound weakens further against the US Dollar.

Despite broad USD strength, 🇺🇸🇯🇵USD/JPY stays under pressure below 147.50, amid speculation the BoJ could raise inflation forecasts at its July meeting.

Risk-off sentiment weighs on Antipodeans, with 🇳🇿🇺🇸NZD/USD down 0.50% and 🇦🇺🇺🇸AUD/USD losing 0.30% to trade near 0.6560.

🇺🇸🇨🇦USD/CAD trades flat around 1.3700, as gains in Oil prices counterbalance USD strength.

🛢WTI slips to $67.34 per barrel, down from $67.61, while Brent holds steady near $70.05.

🥇GOLD consolidates above $3,350 after testing the 23.6% Fibonacci retracement of its April rally at $3,377.

💸Cryptos
Bitcoin (BTC) extends Sunday’s rally, hitting a new all-time high above ↗️ $122,000 on Monday. Ethereum (ETH) breaks above $3,000, while Ripple (XRP) edges closer to the $3 mark. Strengthening bullish momentum across the top three cryptocurrencies fuels expectations of a continued upside.

At the time of writing, BTC is up by 2.69% trading at $122,148, ETH jumped to $3,023, and XRP up at $2.93.

What to look out for today 📣 👀

There are no high-tier releases on today’s economic calendar, but investors will keep an eye on 🇨🇦Canada’s Wholesale Sales (MoM) for May and the 🇬🇧UK’s Retail Sales data later in the session.

What to Expect ❗️

🇨🇦 Canadian Wholesale Sales (MoM) (May)
Forecast: −0.4%
Previous: −2.3%

Summary:
Canada’s wholesale sales are expected to fall 0.4% in May, following a sharper 2.3% drop in April. Although still contracting, the slower pace suggests a potential stabilization in the wholesale sector. A weaker print could dampen CAD sentiment.

🇬🇧 UK BRC Retail Sales Monitor (YoY) (June)
Forecast: 1.2%
Previous: 0.6%

Summary:
UK retail sales are expected to accelerate to 1.2% YoY in June from 0.6% in May. If realized, this improvement may reflect seasonal demand or temporary resilience in consumer spending, offering mild support for the Pound in early-week trading.

Thursday 10 July 2025.
This is a summary of today's financial news brought to you by Academyxo:

📌Gold prices edged up on Wednesday as investors closely watched negotiations between the United States and its trading partners, while a firmer dollar capped further gains. Amid market volatility, fiscal concerns and a widening U.S. deficit, investors are increasingly turning to gold. Spot gold rose 0.3% at $3,310.26 per ounce, as of 2:07 p.m. ET (1807 GMT) after hitting its lowest level since June 30 earlier in the day. U.S. gold futures settled 0.1% higher at $3,321.
📌Wall Street indexes closed higher on Wednesday, led by the tech-heavy Nasdaq as Nvidia briefly reached a $4 trillion valuation, and Federal Reserve meeting minutes fueled hopes that inflation pressures from President Donald Trump's tariffs would not derail interest rate cuts this year.
The minutes for the mid-June meeting showed that most Fed officials said they expect rate cuts will be appropriate later this year, with price shocks from Trump's import taxes expected to be "temporary or modest." However, there was little support for a rate cut at the end of July meeting. Nvidia became the world's first company to hit a $4 trillion market value. It helped lift the Nasdaq, which closed at an all-time high.
📌Robinhood’s strategic embrace of blockchain technology and tokenization has fueled a nearly 30% rally in its stock over the past month, highlighting the brokerage’s new growth drivers despite regulatory scrutiny of some of its products. The stock has climbed more than 27% over the past month and is up 137% year-to-date, lifting its market capitalization to over $82 billion.

📌EUR/USD corrected downwards by 0.1% in the last session. The ROC is giving a positive signal.
📌BTC/USD saw moderate gains of 0.4% in the last session. The CCI is giving a positive signal.
📌GBP/USD saw a minor dip of 0.2% in the last session. The Williams indicator points to an overbought market.
📌AUD/USD gained 0.3% in the last session. The Ultimate Oscillator is giving a negative signal.

Tariff uncertainty dampens sentiment as focus shifts to 🇺🇸FOMC Minutes:

Here is what you need to know on Wednesday, 9th July:

Investors turn cautious mid-week amid fresh 🇺🇸US trade policy headlines. On Tuesday, US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said 15–20 new tariff letters are expected within two days. 🇺🇸President Trump added that BRICS nations will face a 10% tariff, with new duties on pharmaceuticals and semiconductors coming soon. He also signaled a likely 50% tariff on copper, which Lutnick said may take effect by late July or August.

The 🇺🇸US Dollar Index holds steady near 97.50 in Wednesday’s European session after posting modest gains on Tuesday. US Stock Index Futures are flat following a mixed Wall Street close.

🇪🇺🇺🇸EUR/USD trades sideways just above 1.1700 after Tuesday’s marginal advance.

🇬🇧🇺🇸GBP/USD steadies around 1.3600 following a dip to a two-week low below 1.3530.

🇺🇸Atlanta Fed GDPNow Q2 Estimate
Previous estimate: 2.5 %

🇺🇸FOMC June Meeting Minutes – Key Takeaways.
The Fed emphasized persistent inflationary pressures and noted progress was made, but risks remain tilted toward higher inflation.

Participants debated the future pace of rate hikes: some favored further tightening to cool inflation, while others saw recent moves as potentially sufficient, preferring a wait‑and‑see approach.

The labor market remained strong, but uncertainties tied to global trade and fiscal policy were highlighted as factors that could influence the economic outlook and policy decisions.

Overall tone: cautious vigilance—data‑dependent policymaking with no clear signal on next rate moves.

Summary:
The 10‑year Auction held steady at ~4.42%, reflecting stable demand. Atlanta Fed GDPNow edges up slightly to 2.6%, hinting at modest growth momentum. Fed Minutes show a balanced, data‑dependent stance—acknowledging progress but wary of inflation and external headwinds.

📌Venture capital investment in crypto rebounded in the second quarter of 2025, with companies raising $10.03 billion over the three-month period ending June. It was the strongest quarter since Q1 2022, at $16.64 billion.
📌US president Donald Trump said on Tuesday he is planning to announce tariffs on imported semiconductor and pharmaceuticals, saying the rate for medicines could reach 200 per cent but that he would give drugmakers about one year “to get their act together”. “We’re going to give people about a year, a year and a half to come in and, after that, they’re going to be tariffed,” Trump told reporters, speaking at a meeting of his cabinet at the White House.
📌Physically backed gold exchange-traded funds recorded their largest semi-annual inflow since the first half of 2020 from January to June, data from the World Gold Council showed on Tuesday. A trade war sparked by U.S. President Donald Trump's tariff policy prompted investors to seek shelter from political and economic volatility in gold ETFs, which account for a major part of investment demand for the precious metal.

📌GBP/USD made a minor downwards correction of 0.2% in the last session. The Williams indicator points to an overbought market.
📌BTC/USD gained 0.3% in the last session. The Williams indicator is giving a positive signal.
📌AUD/USD gained 0.3% in the last session. The Ultimate Oscillator is giving a negative signal.
📌USD/JPY saw moderate gains of 0.4% in the last session. The Ultimate Oscillator is giving a positive signal.
