📱INSTAGRAM BIOS - the information you put in your Instagram bio is one of the first things people will see when they look at your profile. Make sure you are taking full advantage of it!
Here are 3 things every decorator should have in their insta profile:
1. Your location! Potential customers need to know if you are part of their local community.
2. A brief description of the services you offer.
3. The best way to get in contact with you. Be specific! Should they fill out an online form, send you a dm, or give you a call?
Do you have all this info in your bio right now?

Vlog 3 is here! This week I got started with everything I need to market my business: business cards, a website, social media, and more. Check the YouTube link in our bio to watch!

3️⃣ TIPS FOR NAMING YOUR BUSINESS 👇
My first business had a few names that didn’t work so well! When I finally figured out a name (SLAY DISPLAYS) that worked, it really helped with the marketing of my business.
After going through the name change experience, here are my best tips for you when choosing a name:
1. Make it easy to spell and say. One of my first names was difficult for English speakers to spell and pronounce, which made it hard for people to talk about my business!
2. Make it memorable. A catchy name will stick in people’s heads much better than a boring one. You want your name to match the energy of your business!
3. Make it relevant. In my last business we did so much more than balloons, so I used the word “displays.” You want people to have an idea of what you do from just the name.
Bonus tip! You can search “business entity [your state]” to check if anyone else has registered a business with your name in your area.

Does your business have a niche?
One of the first things I worked on for my new balloon business was deciding on a niche - the specific type of service I would provide. It’s so important because know your niche will help you find the right customers!
So tell me, have you figured out your niche yet? What is your specialty that makes you stand out from all the rest?

Time to get spooky! 🦇 What kind of decorations did you make for Halloween this year?

❌constructing garlands too loose
❌not using filler balloons
❌choosing the wrong colors

Running a balloon business can be so rewarding! But if you want to be less stressed and more successful, there are a few things you should put some thought into:
1. Your niche - having a specialty is so important, especially when you’re just starting out. It helps you to focus on perfecting your skills, and make you more memorable.
2. Your ideal clients - Once you’ve got your niche figured out, you need to know the ideal client for that niche. That way you can find them and sell to them!
3. Your numbers - You’ve got to know how much you’re spending to know how much you will make! Keep track of everything so that you can make smart decisions in your business.
