Ellen experienced the innovation journey with her own startup but focuses now on making innovation happen through educating others. She has set up international blended learning programs to boost innovation & intrapreneurship as well as train-the-trainer programs for Ghent University, focussing on entrepreneurial skills.

Ellen Bruyninckx werd in 2017 uitgeroepen tot Gentse Student-Ondernemer van het jaar.
Nu trekt ze de kar van Start it Academy ⚡️
We zijn opnieuw op zoek naar dé Gentrepreneur Student-Ondernemer van het jaar. In 2017 werd Ellen Bruyninckx verkozen tot dé Gentse Student-Ondernemer van het jaar. Ze won toen met 3 ondernemingen. Inrol waarmee ze advies verleende aan de bouwsector rond levenslang leren en ze had haar eigen ergopraktijk. Daarnaast brengt ze met het platform Ergopraktijk.be ergotherapeuten en cliënten samen en geeft ze ondertussen ook praktijkgerichte cursussen voor ergotherapeuten.
Ze koos ervoor om Ergopraktijk.be te combineren met een ondernemende job, eerst bij DO.UGent, hét centrum voor student-ondernemer van Universiteit Gent. Ondertussen werkt ze als Learning Expert en Head of Start it Academy bij Start it X waar ze nog steeds haar eigen ervaring kan inzetten om andere startende ondernemers vooruit te stuwen.
Over de wedstrijd zegt Ellen zelf: “Het winnen van de Gentrepreneur Award bezorgde mij op veel plaatsen letterlijk een ‘stoeltje aan de tafel’ wat mij op businessvlak wel echt vooruit geholpen heeft.
